This guesthouse makes me feel like living in Japanese house Yukata is for free and simple breakfast is included and the most greatest thing is that owner was sooooo kind and funny and good person so I really enjoy my trip It has small japanese style garden It is so beautiful and room is so perfect with interior I can take rest really well in this guesthouse and I hope to revisit here when I have a chance I hope everyone knows this place and books here! さらに表示

Managed to get a good deal from Agoda for a huge room. The host was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was traditional japanese breakfast, felt like home! It was such an enjoyable stay in a traditional japanese house. It's also within walking distance to the famous onset place down the road. Will definitely visit again. さらに表示

Staff is super friendly and helpful, you dont even need to worry about language as they speak English very well. Suitable for everyone, a traditional Japanese style accommodation, located at Dogo Onsen area, 30min tram to Matsuyama JR. Japanese breakfast provided. I have stayed in a lot of dorms since I've been living in Japan and I have to say this is by far the best. We went for the dorm rooms, and were provided with comfortable futons to sleep on the tatami floors. If you've never done this before, don't worry - it's very comfortable! From the start to the finish of our stay, the staff were EXTREMELY helpful and polite. They also speak fluent English. A standard breakfast of rice, miso soup, coffee/green tea, and pickled plum was provided and you could help yourself to more as you wished. It was a very welcome addition to what was already a good bargain. Navigating my way around the Ryokan area in my big car (legacy wagon) was pretty difficult at time, but manageable if you are sensible. I was provided with 20 hours free parking tickets for the coin parking nearby - be sure to check with the staff on check-in to make sure you park in the right place - without these tickets, parking would have cost us several thousand yen! さらに表示

Absolutely a must to stay at in if one was to visit the Dogo Onsen area. Traditional ryokan but well-equipped. Location was great. The room we had was a private room with ample space. Would definitely recommend. My only regret was that we only stayed one night. さらに表示

Very relaxing traditional Japanese house with several large traditional rooms. Facilities include a tea room, a 2-person onsen as well as a group kitchen and common bathrooms and showers. The simple breakfast of rice, pickle and soup was also provided. This really is a rustic little jewel hidden between bigger and more modern hotels. We spent 4 nights in Dougoya and we were astonished about the friendliness of the staff. All English-speaking, we loved discuss about Japanese culture. They did everything to let us be comfortable. Even though there is no private toilet, there is no problem on using the shared facilities. Absolutely the best ryokan of our honeymoon! さらに表示

Highly recommend! I stayed in one of the private rooms and it was much bigger than I expected. Clean room and clean sheet. The hotel is located near the Dougo Hot Spring station, with just around 10 mins walking distance. The staff are communicable in English and really friendly. The two young staff were very helpful and spoke good English. The breakfast was disappointing. There was nothing that I wanted to eat so ended up just having a coffee and went out for breakfast instead. I thought for the price it would have been better and wasn't expecting to have to wash our own dishes. This is NOT a backpackers. The location was excellent and very close to the famous Onsen. さらに表示
