小樽駅からバスで10分ほど揺られたところにある、古めかしい民家がこの宿。 一階は談話室になっており、二階に男性、女性それぞれの部屋があります。部屋には二段ベッドが二つ並んでいました。 昔ながらの北海道の家を使っており、とても懐かしい感じがします。 襖がガタガタだったり、床がややななめっているのはご愛嬌。なにより出迎えてくださったここの奥さんはとても親切で気さくな方でした。 場所は住宅街ですが、宿のすぐ裏手にコンビニがあって便利です。 お金をかけずに旅行したい人、旅先での交流を楽しみたい人にはぴったりの宿だと思います。 また小樽を訪れることがあれば、ぜひ利用したいです。 さらに表示

3連泊させていただきました．バスの便もよく，小樽駅からも20分くらいかかりますが歩いていくこともできます．近くにはコンビニと銭湯（私が泊まった時は残念ながらボイラー工事中でしたが）もあります．朝早くから夜遅くまでスキー＋観光していたので，宿にいる時間は短かったのですが，温和な宿主さんファミリーの元へ，毎晩「ただいま〜」と，まるで我が家に帰るかのような感覚でした．またぜひ利用させていただきたいと思います． さらに表示

pros: very friendly and helpful owner, she serves the customers herself it is her home so basically with everything needed, free wifi, plugs, toiletries and kitchenware, TV, two toilets(F/M), two showers clean basically no curfew nice and quiet neighbourhood, the sakura was booming when I was there(mid-May) cons: a little far away, walkable distance(15-20 minutes, with slopes) if you are with light luggage, otherwise I would advise taking the bus no. 9(my recommendation) or no. 4(南４) or no.7, about 6-8 stops, stopping at 洗心橋, cost 220 yen, take it from the Otaru train station, there is a bus terminal there, take a schedule of it but then it is kinda close to the tourist attraction 天狗山 more info.: I only stayed for 2 nights but had a feeling like I was at home, the atmosphere there was nice and cozy, I chatted with her in Japanese, but I think she can also speak in English, although most tourists were from Asia Her two children will be in their room and the shared space さらに表示

The host, Motoko san is a very nice lady. Friendly and well communicate in English. She always invite me to sightseeing and have meal together. These let me felt welcome and warm during my stay here. It was like visiting friend or relative rather than an ordinary sightseeing trip. I will stay here for my next visit to Otaru. さらに表示

the owner is a very helpful and nice lady who can converse in english, which is of a lot of help to people unable to speak much japanese. the facilities here are also pretty modern. overall, it is well worth the price you would be paying. さらに表示

The host is very friendly! There are 7-11 and supermarket locating near the house. It's convenient to buy stuffs. You can take bus number 9 or 4 from the Otaru bus terminal to reach the house. It took 220 Yen. さらに表示

Lady owner very friendly and helpful and have two cute children. Very near to mt. Tenguyama (walking ard 20mins)and Otaru park. Taxi from Emina to Otaru station cost ard ¥600. These place is covered with snow everywhere. Very beautiful. Highly recommended. さらに表示

We had a great stay here. It is very easy to find and is within easy walking distance from the main JR train station in Otaru (20 min or less walk) or bus/cab ride. Very friendly and helpful staff and clean accommodations. I would go back and recommend it to anyone. さらに表示

The host was very pleasant and spoke very well English. She cooked for me during my stay at her house. Frankly speaking, the location was not near to the attactions like Otaru Canal. It needs to take about 20-30 minutes walk. However, you can take bus in front of the 7-Eleven convenient store where just next to Emina Backpackers. Basically, it is super convenient. very convenient and very friendly atmosphere. not to difficult to get to from the otaru jr station. you can either take a bus or a taxi. the rooms and the bathroom are clean. there is a 7-11 nearby. a bus to the town center and shopping streets take only 15 minutes. さらに表示

The owner is fantastic. She let me and my friend check in at like 8 in the morning which is unusual for the hostels I've stayed at in Japan. She even gave us towels to use when we realized we didn't have ours. The room was just bunk beds but you had access to wifi, showers, bathrooms, fridges, and all the things you would need.
