ホテル自体は安価で快適でした。Wi-Fiも実測130Mbps近くあり満足です。しかし隣の宗教施設が朝7時から太鼓を鳴らしてお祈りを始めるため、低層階だと朝起こされるかと思います さらに表示

受験生などを想定しているらしく、部屋にIHコンロと鍋、ヤカンがある。
ミニキッチンの壁面が鏡になっており、洗面台としても使用できる。
バスルームにも洗面台があるが、ユニットバスの洗面台はメイク道具などを並べるには狭いので自分はミニキッチンを使用した。
部屋はコンパクトだが、ベッドはセミダブルで寝心地は良かった。
夜はとても静か。

1週間(滞在中)タバコの匂いに悩まされた。
一応喫煙室では無いが、吸ってしまう客がいるとの説明でした。
禁煙室もあるとのことでしたが希望をかなえていただけませんでした。

This place is an awesome weekly mansion. 3 stops from Ikebukuro station with heaps of restaurants and shops right next to the place. If you want the experience of close to what it feels like living in Japan, then this is the place to stay. I would definitely recommend for a solo traveller or younger couple. It isn't serviced daily like a hotel and I actually like this as you don't have cleaners waking you up when your room doesn't really need cleaning anyway.
A vacume cleaner and portable electric stove are located in the room so you can clean and cook if you wish. (located in cupboards) However with Yoshinoya, Ramen etc just outside, why would you bother!
So if you want to stay in Tokyo for 1+ weeks I would definitely recommend.

The staff were nice, and the price was very reasonable. We got in at 9:30pm and had no problem checking in, though the counter closes at 6:00pm. Make sure to read the instructions that you'll receive by email that tell you how to get in/contact staff after 6:00pm.
Having a laundromat in the Inn was really convenient, as was the convenience store right next door. If it helps, the TV's native resolution was 1366x768 if you want to hook your laptop up to it (supported VGA and HDMI). Lots of interesting restaurants nearby.
It would be a little more convenient to stay at a hotel near a station on the Yamanote line if you intend to travel around Tokyo a lot, but it only takes about 5 minutes to get to Ikebukuro from Ekoda station. さらに表示

It's so close to the station, which itself is close to Ikebukuro. From there you can get anywhere in Tokyo without difficulty. Surroundings have everything you need - 24h-Konbini, Bookoff, Ramen, Sukiya, Sushi, Super Market, ... The staff was always friendly and helpful even when I asked for special things. The bed is huge and cozy, the bath is big as well (for Japanese standards). Just perfect! さらに表示

Great out of town location so handy for the train, lots of supermarket type shops and lovely places to eat. Well equipped room and hotel with laundry. I stayed in a single room Wich was small but great value for money! さらに表示

Ekoda - you rock. Your staff is so kind and your rooms are comfortable. The location is good, although a little difficult from the airport, there is so much to see and do nearby that I don't mind. I had a smoking room that I was very worried about before I got there, but as soon as I opened the door I honestly couldn't tell that room was ever used that way. You do a great job keeping it fresh and clean.
If you get this feedback, maybe we can speak again in the future about a long-term rate. Thank you for helping make my Tokyo experience amazing.

Before I book this hotel, I didn't notice that this hotel doesn't not provide daily cleaning. You can ask for towels and linen cleaning but to pay a surcharge.
Japan's hotels are famous of its tiny space, but this hotel's room is even tinier than I thought!! Not recommend to stay here... Unless you are late planners like me, the good hotels have no vacancy at all. さらに表示

This is a no frills cheap hotel to stay in that is near a train station that will get you into the heart of Tokyo easily or out to the mountains. The only reason to stay here is you can't afford to stay in Tokyo. There are restaurants and coffee shops in the area to walk to, very safe but nothing of much interest is in the area. I was going hiking the next day in the Japanese Alps and needed to stay on the outskirts of Tokyo. さらに表示

My favorite hotel in the 5 hotels that i stayed in Japan.
Distance: 10-15 minutes walk from subways. If you cant afford central tokyo, this is place.
Amenities: Any time self check-in. TV, WiFi, A/C worked fine.
Loved the lobby and Bathroom.
Hotel Staff: Wonderful staff, specially the ladies. I arrived a day earlier than my checkin, they found me a room and made my stay easy and pleasant.
Specialty: 2 subways nearby. Lot of eateries nearby. Helpful staf.Anytime Self check-in.
Overall: Wonderful stay, would go back just for the nostalgic feel. Eateries n super markets nearby make it very worthwhile.

What an unfortunate experience! Although billed as a good place for business travelers tomstay, there was no wi-fi (only LAN cable, which didn't help, as I only had an iPad). When I asked the front desk what to do, they had no suggestions. I had to find an Internet cafe by wandering around town. Also, the air conditioner didn't emit cool air (even on the high setting). In fact, even if it HAD worked properly, I would have had to shut it off to sleep, because the bed was wedged up right against it and rocked/vibrated whenever the air was on.
