The ryokan itself is very close to the JR station. We were warmly greeted by the owner and his staffs; they were attentive and treated us very well. The room is large, very clean, and well maintained. The onsen in the ryokan is not bad at all and opens most of the time. A pity, Should have stayed 2 nights. Although you can tell its an old hotel, its clean enough for you to enjoy staying here. Impressed by my name they write on the board, willing to lend us the yukata even we checked in early, recommended places we could go and good places to eat. The most impressive thing is their traditional breakfast included which is very fancy and delicious, had an awesome experience in Gero because of this cozy Japanese hotel. The sad thing is we only stayed for a night and we booked a smoking room because of restricted budget, will definitely come visit again :) さらに表示

When you exit the train station, just turn right and walk down the steps and it will be right infront of you,. Excellent location! As Gero Onsen is pretty small, you can just walk to anywhere easily. If you are planning to go to Gassho Mura, there are buses that bring you there for 100Yen and you can also save 100Yen by buying the tickets from Mutsumikan. Room is old but relatively big and comfortable. Do include breakfast and dinner for an experience. I am able to dine at the comfort of my room and the food is simply delicious! For breakfast, it will be at a common room. Green tea and hot water are also provided for you. Futon will be set up for your after dinner. Host are friendly and am able to converse in simple english. Onsen is segregated by gender and there is an indoor and outdoor onsen. As it is a quiet season, i am able to have the onsen all to myself! Overall a great stay. The room is comfy and clean (actually even better than what the pics show). The dinner and breakfast were awesome! Both are delicate kaiseki meals. In the early morning there were no people in the public hotspring so I was like using a private one, enjoying the nice garden view. The private hotspring bath in room is good too. Was a little tricky finding the ryokan because it shared the same driveway with a comeptitor. Awkwardness aside, the hotel was cozy and the room was clean. The facilities worked and the onsen was wonderful. Although we drove there, the station is right next door. No complaints at all. さらに表示

The Ryokan is close to Gero Station which takes you about 5 minutes walking. The staffs are really helpful. Breakfast served in Japanese style and is delicious. Recommended for every type of travelers. さらに表示

Great customer service, great breakfast, great onsen and it is very near the station. Because it is a small ryokan it was not very crowded so we very felt comfortable. The room was simple and nice. The place nearby has many shops and eatery. さらに表示

The souvenir shop didn't have much to offer like other shops in town but they give 10% voucher for staying guests. Not too bad. The foods were okay. Staffs were so nice. The Gero water were so soft. Very close to the station さらに表示

The location is good near the Gero station. but there is many steps (up and down) from station to hotel, you must be very hard to walk if you have heavy luggage. The dinner and breadfast at hotel is excellent and regional Japanese Cuisines (beef hotpot and sashimi). Open air hotspring is much better than private bath which is no window bath room さらに表示
