Love the place. It is very clean, nice and worth the budget. The owner name "Kouzo san" is very kind and helpful. But wouldn't recommend for those who cannot stand loud noise because the floor is made from wood. Sometime people walk without their slipper and the sound is very annoying. I stayed this place 2 nights.. host couple was kind, responsible and take care of people.. However, most attractive part was the location of house.. just 2 mins from Yasaka shrine, also the Gion street is around 10 mins... If you are lucky, you can see Maiko near the house.. さらに表示

Great location, clean facility and courteous host were the ‘highlight’ of the stay. However, I wouldn’t recommend the dorm room with the bunk beds. I couldn’t sleep properly and my whole body is aching. 1. 4 bunks were too close to eachother. 2. It was hot and the AC was not cooling the room properly. On top, one of the room-mate wanted to turn it off in the middle of the night. 3. Squeeky sound in my bed disturbed other room-mates :(. I didn’t want to disturb them so I stayed still in one spot. My recommendation: 1. Get a seperate room for a good night sleep and experience. 2. Also the breakfast was not really a breakfast. It was more like portion control lol- you can’t eat more than 2 slices or one banana. Those items shouldn’t have a limit attached to it. Overall the host was great and I would complain too much... but dorm was NOt for me! さらに表示

The owners are so friendly and welcoming, and they made extra efforts to make sure I was comfortable or help me throughout my stay (I even needed pliers and they came to my rescue!) The place is charming and seems new... You can tell they ensure it is well cared for. The hosts were fun and their personalities made the atmosphere enjoyable for their guests. They even provide a simple breakfast of fresh fruit, toast, condiments and coffee... :) If you are looking for a a convenient and great place, staying here is a definite must. I'll be back. I had best time in this hostel. I used 1 dormitory bed. The room was little small, though, that wasn’t really matter. Cause of all freindly staffs, wooden furniture and nice breakfast, I felt cozy and comfortable. If I go to Kyoto next time, I wanna stay here again. さらに表示

The hosts were amazing and gave me good instructions, good breakfast-served me tea when it was cold and gave me a beautiful complimentary book mark. It was about a ten minute walk from the station (a little hard to find at first) but I loved staying at the guesthouse for its cozy atmosphere. さらに表示

I love this place, immaculately clean and cozy. Near the subway and Gion places of interest and shopping. Few stops away from Inari and Kiyomizudera. Such an ideal place to stay if you’re looking for comfort, cleanliness, accessibility, great value for money and hospitable hosts. They even have free breakfast ! The owner is very nice and the location of the guesthouse is very near Gion. We could even walked to Kiyomizu-dera. The room, shared bathroom and toilet facilities are all well maintained. さらに表示
