This hotel give me wonderful experience to stay at Kyoto. I will choose it if I go to Kyoto in future. No matter the helpful staff, great location, and comfortable room environment, which allow me and my friends didn't want to leave the room. The room had a parlor including sofa and television, a small kitchen and bedroom, which allow people have relaxing time when stay there. The area of the room was enough to open all the language boxes and the big cabinet allow me to hanging all clothes. The location also convenient no matter to shopping mall, restaurant or many famous viewpoints likes Kiyomizu-dera, Nishiki Market, Yasaka Shrine, etc. The room located at Gion area, and near different train exit. さらに表示

Located in the heart of Gion, 2 min from riverside dining, & a block from the subway. Room was more than spacious with a fridge, microwave, large bathroom, etc... Loved the location and thought this was an awesome value for the price さらに表示

As I have rated (using my husband's account), everything is excellent about Gion Minanmi, except that they were uncontactable from a Saturday to Monday morning when Agoda tried to contact them for a change in our reservation dates. Gion Minami did not respond to 6-7 phone calls and emails for the 2 whole days. Saturday was the last day of our free cancellation period. It was very exasperating as we were not sure whether to cancel the whole booking or one of the days as we could not get a flight out. I had made changes to a Shanghai hotel reservation via Agoda and it was completed within 15-20 minutes, while I hold on the line. Moreover, it was a hotel booking that did not allow changes/cancellation but the hotel allowed the change. Gion Minami should improve on their communication on reservation issues. さらに表示

A spacious & modern room. Staff can communicate in english. Easy access, just a few minute walk from Gion Shijo station, from exist 1 ( no elevator at exist 1). Good location , closed to Gion corner, nishiki market and a few spots. Highly recommended this in Kyoto. さらに表示

Good points: Good location. Easy access to a subway. Spacious apartment and very clean. About 10 min walk you can find many restaurants and shopping areas. Bad points: Check-in before 6pm or loose your reservation. Most apartments leave a key in the box for self check in, but not this one. Pay up front during the check-in. Very inconvenient especially for those who prefer to pay via credit card, before arriving. There is no washing machine even though it has space for it! The management has clearly opt this option out. The whole idea of an apartment is that you can wash your own clothes at your own convenience. さらに表示

Me and my wife stayed for two nights in one of the one bedroom apartments. We wanted to stay in an area close to the sights and we chose Gion over Kyoto JR Station. We took a direct train from Wakayama to Kyoto, and then took a taxi from Kyoto JR Station to the apartments, which cost around 1000 yen. The block is located in small street in Gion which is famous for its small streets and proximity to many of the temples. It is around 250 meters from the Keihan Rail station, which we used when going back to Osaka. It is within 15 minutes walk to the main shopping area on the other side of the river along Sanjo and the streets that are full of restaurants on the west bank of the river. One time we set off from the block to walk to Yasaka Shrine, Maruyama Park and along a trail to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, which was very enjoyable. On both evenings after dinner, we strolled along the river which was very nice too. The apartment was very clean with all the amenities, kitchenette and full size fridge. There is a reception area that is manned from 11am to 5pm (for reference only). The staff was very helpful, but did not have a lot of maps available. But we had gone to the Tourist Information at Kyoto JR Station upon arrival in Kyoto, and had all the information we needed so it was not a problem. We really liked this block of apartments for its location in Gion, nice surroundings, quality and cleanliness of the apartment. However, if you like busy and urban surroundings, you would be better off around Kyoto JR Station. さらに表示
