We were expecting the room to accommodate four people but were given a twin room with two small beds (not big enough to be classed a double). The room was clearly meant for two people as there were only two pillows provided and two sets of cups, accessories, etc. We had to keep stealing two extra pillows each morning and didn’t manage to get any sleep during our two night stay as the beds were way too small for two people to share. Also we asked for a non-smoking room but the room and corridor stank of smoke each day. Felt like we were next to a smoking room. The only positive was that the hotel was located a short walk from Tamachi Station on the JR line. さらに表示

Location is excellent as it is just 1 min away from Shinkansen station. It is not too expensive and they do provide free simple japanese breakfast for free! However, facilities are much limited. さらに表示

This was the worst place I’ve stayed at in a long time. There was one miserable pillow per person on the bed. Allegedly more were available but it took an hour of haggling before I was able to obtain a further pillow each. The rooms were not only small but at least our bathroom smelled of bad mould. It looked clean but there must have been damp under the surface somewhere. By contrast our current hotel in Nara has small rooms but everything feels more pleasant.
