Your host, Ivy, is very friendly and helpful. We observed she went the extra mile with each guest, i.e. one night she went out near midnight to pickup a guest from the train station. She gave us good advise on places to visit and offered home grown fruits/vegetable from her garden. The house is showing its age but has been well kept and is clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful; better to stay there if you've rented a car as it's kind of located in the countryside so having your own car will be much easier to explore the area around including going to restaurants, the AEON shopping mall and hot springs (less than 10 mins drive). The house is a very traditional Japanese style two-level house so good to get a taste of the local culture. Thought it would be better to stay in summer though as the house does not have heating system except the bedrooms and there is no hot water from the taps except for shower. さらに表示

It was really nice just amazing for me, even a little far from hakata station. the host pick you up at hatchomuta and she send email to you how to get there. so it dosent matter ;") the host is from Hongkong she is kind and really friendly . Im thankful for her kind . The house is real japanese style !! It was great experience , the room was so lovely and warm. also there are nice place to see asomountain and strawberry shops near the house. The shop is really close If you have time you can get asomountain by train. hope to you visit there with enjoying your travel さらに表示

If you expect a fancy hotel, this is not the place. This is the choice If you want to experience the countryside still with supermarkets(Aeon and Sunny) close by. Also there is a local fresh produce store just a few blocks away. I enjoyed the stay. The staff was very friendly. They even helped me to call the restaurant for making a reservation. We got 2 rooms upstairs with a group of 4, so we got our own restroom. The rooms are clean and neat. The staff said we could use the kitchen. One thing I should have done was to buy some meat and vegetable from the supermarket and cook there. I saw some very nice wagyu beef at the supermarket for good price. The stay was pleasant, friendly staff and neat rooms were the highlights. さらに表示

This hostel is located in countryside so you feel calm atmosphere. If you go from Hakata station from the station near this hostel, you will spend about one hour or one and half hour at least. And then you will spend 20~30min to this hostel by foot. Also, you should spend 600 yen at least. If you want, the staff will pick you up. There have 2 hot springs but if you want to go there, you will spend 20~30min by foot. Remember, it is so difficult to communicate in English in this countryside. I recommend if you take a rest, this hostel is not bad. However, if you enjoy in downtown, it is awful choice. さらに表示

Too expensive for what you get: too far from everything (definitely need a car), no warm water from the tap in the bath room except the shower, our room was seperated from another with just a Japanese paper door so that you could hear everything, door of our room was a glass door so that the light of the outside corridor left the room too bright to sleep, just one plug-socket in the room, no clothes hanger, WiFi didn't work さらに表示

I underestimated the importance of the location. It is 20 minute walk away from Hatchomuta station, which is a killer if you forget the phone number for the house for the pick-up. Else than that, it is pretty decent. House is clean for being out in the country. This location would be better for people who have rented a car to drive around since everything is far and most of the roads are for cars, not pedestrians. さらに表示

This is a comfortable place to retreat and relax after you visit Fukuoka. In fact, there are other nearby attractions that are worth experiencing during your visit. The guesthouse host is super accomodating; offering rides to and from the train station and navigation to familiarize you with the area, which is rural, simple and unique. Staying in this traditional Japanese house affords you the opportunity to see the countryside and other towns outside of Fukuoka. I highly recommend this guesthouse if you want affordable accomodations and a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy the house and meet other like minded travelers. さらに表示

Had to cut stay short due to death in family so didn't really get the full experience. Location is very remote- 1 hour train ride from shinkenson JR station and then a 20 minute ride provided by the owner at 200 yen per person. No restaurants nearby, however a grocery store and convenience store were about a 30 minute walk. さらに表示

Eventhough it was pretty far away from the station and pretty cold there but you should take it cuz it exists in a country side. To me, it was really great cuz i've always been rasied in only cities so it was my first time and the house was even a traditional house! So i experienced real Japan far from the city.
