Clean quite hotel well positioned to get around all the sights. Hakone Village itself closes at 7pm so be prepared for that. There are a few small supermarkets where you can buy food. The Private Onsen at the hotel is good. さらに表示

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at Hatago Kintoen. We were four altogether (my folks and my partner), and comfortably fit into one of the larger rooms that featured two twin beds and two futons. Loved the traditional style sliding doors, the yakata to wear on the premises (more casual version of the kimono), the "no shoes" rule (they even wiped down our rolling suitcases upon arrival to keep the interior floors clean), and of course the relaxing onsen. Our room didn't have a bath or shower, so note that all showering was done in the onsen area. We had the full dinner and breakfast included in our room rate. Both meals were yummy, but after a massive dinner, we found the massive breakfast a bit excessive. Service in the restaurant was very friendly. The server didn't speak English, but had key phrases written down for us to read, and we could follow the meal service on the menu (although note - there's no choice on the menu - it's all predetermined). さらに表示
