Small little hotel very close to the station. Very friendly staff although little to no English was spoken. Bathroom might be a little tight for larger people, but room was clean and was everything I needed for the short time I was in town. Price was right. Note unlike the larger hotel chains the doors don’t auto-lock. さらに表示

Excellent. The modular bathroom was a bit tight, but the room itself was spacious and well-lit. I would recommend a room on the west side of the hotel, as the east side faces a noisy large hotel a block away. さらに表示

Hirosaki City Business Hotel Shinjuku is a pretty standard Japanese style low-end business hotel. Far cheaper than the ubiquitous Toyoko Inn, from which it is just across the road (both are slap-bang in front of Hirosaki Station), and nice enough. What made the hotel stand out was the lovely lady running the (family-owned) place. I arrived in town too late for any of the tourist info places to be open but she was happy to talk to me and help out with info that only a true local could give. She gave me an armful of free apples (Aomori's speciality) and pointed me to a bar/izakaya across the road (WaiWai) that had great local shochu and the best hotate-sashimi I've ever tasted. (Since, I've even seen it mentioned in Hirosaki City Guides.) Not sure the lady speaks any English, but I bet she'd do her best to help you out if you don't speak Japanese. So... Arrived on a very rainy day and was glad that the hotel is only about a minute from the station. I stayed in a Japanese style tatami room, which was fairly clean and had good basic facilities. They provide a low-key Japanese breakfast in the small lobby. Staff are friendly, although I would guess that most would not speak much English (I speak Japanese). さらに表示
