Big, clean room. The Onsen at the sister hotel was fantastic. A bit of a walk from the train station though so might be difficult for people with luggage. I would recommend storing your lugagge and just take a day bag.

Room is big and clean which come with the price, I only hope they also provide Futon preparation services. The location is okay but nothing around the hotel also not so close to the river. Staffs were very helpful to provide the information. We didn't use hotel bath but other one.

About 15mins on foot from station or 5mins by dial bus. Very comfortable and great value for money. Staffs there are very nice and helpful! Private onsen is available for rent or public onsen at there sister hotel. Hotel with reasonable price and thanks a lot for your host!

The room is big, i think 1 family can fit into it. It was quite far from kinugawa onsen station but they have shuttle bus so you dont need to walk. The staffs spoke limited english but they were trying so hard to explain (which was funny experience)

You would think staying in the hotel means free onsen, but be warned! You have to pay additional ¥3000 thereabouts for private onsen. The shared onsen (pictures featured on their page) is actually their "sister" hotel which is a 4 mins drive away. U also have to pay ¥500 per pax for this. Timing was really inflexible as you can only onsen from 7-8am and 4-9 pm and u have to purchase the onsen tickets from the front desk a day before. As we checked in, the front desk guy told us that he would be the one sending us to the sister hotel, so let him know our plans to onsen and he didn't seem happy about it. Well, I was also v unhappy because I couldn't believe I booked a hotel in an onsen resort which features shared onsen pics, actually didn't have a shared onsen. We checked booked for 2 days and checked out after 1 night because it really felt like we were just stuck in the sad room. This wasn't a ryokan, but we couldn't bring out shoes up to our rooms and had to walk around the entire hotel only in socks, no room slippers given as well. Restaurant was also closed because I think nobody really stays in this hotel. There was only about 5 other guest staying that night. The place had 6-7 floors with maybe about 6 rooms on each floor. Kinda cold and sad place

Staff requested 500 JPY to drive customers to sister hotel for Onsen. (One time ) It is possible to just walk to sister hotel and use the Onsen for free. Onsen on this hotel is for private use. Pay 3500, use can use for 50 minutes. The pictures on the agoda website is private Onsen. Not free for hotel guests.

The hotel is located 10 minutes from the trainstation. It is very clean and the personnel is very polite. The only problem is, that they do not speak English very well. But they try everything to complete your wishes. They also have a private onsen you can rent for 5" minutes (300¥). You also can visit an public onsen from a partner hotel. If you pay 500¥ they organize a shuttle service from the hotel to the other onsen. I liked it very much ! さらに表示

This hotel was visually interesting in a faded glory kind of way and is almost worth staying at for that reason...but there are no facilities there, which is really annoying. If you want to get a meal you have to walk to their sister hotel, and pay a high price to do so. The village of Kinagawa is also a bit short of eating and drinking options! On the plus side the room is large and quite fun, very Japanese - but unless you're mad about onsens, just stay in Nikko itself.

I stay for 2 night only, receptionists english not good but still friendly to help! I was noted other travelers comment this hotel is so bad and no free onsen. But I tried to understand they can send you to other sister hotel for using onsen, but need charge you 500 japanese yen per time. Personally I feel worth to pay, as the quality of onsen is good. However, if you are the 1st time visit Japan, and don't know Japanese "style" I don't recommend you to choose this hotel.

I love it! The staff are so nice. They cannot speak English but they tried so hard to communicate with us. He take us to the lobby and the common area, and tell us what we can do in the hotel. The room is very big. I thought it would be the small one from the picture I saw form somewhere but I was surprised after entering the room LOL Worth our money! The location was actually far from Kinugawa Onsen Station but the view at the bridge was priceless! only around 10-15 mins walk (don't trust google map .. just walk to the alley on the left of the convenience store "Rainbow," then turn left and walk until you see 7-11. After that, turn right and walk along the bridge and you'll see the tall building and that's it!

It was a great value of money, the hotel provides us with an authentic Japanese experience. Though the shower area was very small (I believed it was placed there during renovation of the hotel), the room itself was very spacious. Location was ok, not far from Nikko city center, but there’s not much going on during the night time in the area. Overall, I had quite a good time during my stay. Recommend for traveler with a budget.
