If you just spent 3 hours on a train or bus from Tokyo, this place fits the bill. The expensive hotels are down by the lake, but Station Inn has the best views of Mt Fuji. It's also an authentic no-frills Japanese experience. The hotel is clean & modern and even has a rooftop spa (although the locals expect you to bathe sans clothing). The owner is a likeable guy who speaks very good English. The regulations seem odd, especially for footwear. Tell yourself this is Japanese culture - and appreciate the wisdom when hordes of trekkers come down from Mt Fuji caked in mud. We loved the simple rooms here. Our kid had fun making the futon beds and kept shouting out the window "I love this place". It's a short walk to great restaurants, plus there are local busses from the station to all the sights, using your Pasmo card. Why stay anywhere else? さらに表示

The hostel totally blew my mind and exceeded far beyond what I could expect, and I was so grateful and lucky to manage having one night stay during the golden week holiday. The hostel is located strategically so it’s very easy and convenient to reach the hostel from Kawaguchiko Station (basically just diagonally opposite). The hostel is well maintained and the shared bed room is clean and tidy. Other than these, the basement lounge provides self-help coffee and conducive environment for traveller to mingle around. The bathroom is equipped with onsen where you can have a good view of the Mt. Fuji is weather is clear. The staffs are friendly and helpful, and their service is simply good. Upon checking in late on the night, the receptionist waited patiently and got everything prepared well before arrival, and upon checking out early in the morning, the receptionist also assisted kindly for the luggage storage. さらに表示

Small room but so prety (japanese style) Hotel have a free onzen on 4 floor. Opposite is a Kawaguchiko Station easy to transfer 5 Lake around Mt.Fuji , Oshino Hakkai, Gotemba Outlet , Red Pagoda , etc さらに表示

The place was just accross the Kawaguchiko station, so that’s a huge huge plus. The room was clean and big enough for 2 persons. They also have a public onsen on the top floor. The public bathroom was clean. The only con is that you have to carry your own luggage, so if you have a huge one and have room on 3rd floor (like me), time to put those muscle 😝 Overall, definitely a great and comfortable stay さらに表示

Get off the train or bus at Kawaguchiko stn and the hostel is across the road. Single bed dorm are very close to each other only separated by full length curtain. I had 2 guys, both on either side of my bed, loud snoring the whole night so I had difficulty sleeping. Clean, good wifi, hot tub was a big bonus! This is for whom do not want fancy hotel and easy to get around . The cost of the hotel was good to be true. They offer a little onsen with belove Fuji view. The only downhill for me was the bathroom. There are 2 room for all but you can also bath inside onsen room with offer Japanese way of bathing. さらに表示

The location is excellent, right across from the Kawaguchiko Station, a hub for catching sightseeing buses (red, green and blue lines), and the Shibazakura Liner which takes you directly to the Fuji Shibazakura Festival venue. As convenient as the location is, the traffic noises at night was quite loud, and we could hear conversations of guests next door. But, if Mt Fuji decides to show up, you'll see her right outside your window (rooms facing station). Our twin shared room is small. After laying out our comfortable beds, there isn't a lot of room to move around comfortably - almost have to step over the other person. Maybe we weren't maximising the space with the way we laid out our beds? The facilities (e.g hair dryers station) are excellent and so clean. Although shared, there is a good level of privacy e.g separate private showers, not just inside the onsen. The helpful staff speak good English, and kept our luggage after we checked out. Choose this hotel for its cleanliness. The owner of the hotel takes care by themselves. 4th floor, but they have lift to take the luggages to the room. Bunkbeds are very clean and cozy. Shared bunkbeds woman and man, but its ok since each bed has its curtain. Be careful for young children to sleep at bunkbed because it is quite high. さらに表示

We arrived at 6pm, and the kawaguchiko sta is already very quiet. The bus arrived just in front of the hotel and just crossing street. We have 15mins onsen upstairs, very convenience. There is washing n drying machine. Soap and shampoo, hair dryer are available. We stay one night and the next day just cross the street at the earliest time (6:45) to buy highway bus ticket to Shinjuku. Price is 1.750 yen one way and need to reserve the time and seat. Very close to Kawaguchiko station. Convenience stores are also nearby. However, for those who are looking for a hostel with common space to socialize, skip this one. This is more like a hotel with dorm rooms rather than a hostel. Anyway, my stay was very smooth. さらに表示

The hotel is very near to the station. Less than 2 mins walk. The staff is very nice. They brought our luggage to the room when I arrived early. Excellent service. The room is excellent I got a room facing Mt. Fuji, so delightful to peek at it early morning whilst having tea. The onsen was sooooo nice!!! (Tips, go late at night or very early morning and you`ll have the onsen for yourself!). I love the yukata, the japanese breakfast and everything about the hotel.
