The service at Machiya Residence Inn was excellent, they were very responsive to our email enquires and even helped us to get a delivery package sent to the machiya or retrieve a plug that I left behind at the machiya. The machiya itself was very comfortable and elegant. They have a well-equipped kitchen with heated floors and the rooms are also provided with warmers and heaters for winter. The toilet has a modern Japanese toilet bowl which is separated from the showering room with a bath tub and shower with good pressure and heating. There is also a washing machine within the toilet with ironing board and iron provided. Little touches include providing Inoda Coffee, a Kyoto brand coffee at the hotel as well as plenty of information on how to operate the electronics and what to do at the machiya. For a small fee, the hotel also provides luggage forwarding service to the machiya, you could also leave it at their reception area before 7 pm which is located near Higashi Honggan-ji, located near the subway entrance/exit connected to Kyoto Station. さらに表示
