I went with my parents. Communication was a challenge but the staff managed it well. Thank you for being patient with us. I hope we didn't caused you much trouble though the repeated request of hot water. My parents aren't used to the cold weather, plus age is catching up, they needed hot water to keep themselves warm and hydrated. The staff assisted us well throughout the whole stay. From serving meals, to answering our requests and guiding us through the entire stay. The onsen was great too. I LOVE THE OUTDOOR ONSEN. It is definitely worth heading there for a dip. There are a few places of attractions. We regretted not staying for another night. The food was amazing. I love the full course from the appetizer, to the main dishes and then the dessert. I wish I could attach the photos I have taken. Futon was set by the staff(ladies), it was an eye-opener for me. My first stay in ryokan and it has gave me a great impression. The staff are all friendly and helpful, and both the indoor bath and outdoor bath are great. The room is neat, clean, and spacious. The dinner course is served inside the room and the breakfast course is served in the common area, both meals are delicious and satisfying. However, as beautiful as the surrounding area is, there isn't a lot to do; I can't imagine staying more than two consecutive nights. さらに表示

Everything about this onsen was perfect. Both the dinner and breakfast were delicious and had a very wide selection of traditional Japanese foods. Both the indoor and outdoor baths were very relaxing and pleasant. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and courteous. The room was also nice and cozy, with all the amenities you would want. One thing to note is that the check-in is actually 3:30 to 6:30, not just after 3:30. I arrived around 7:15, and got a few emails I was being marked as a no-show, although the shuttle from the station was still waiting and the staff still welcomed me in. Nice one day getaway after skiing for a few days. It's an older style Onsen and the hot springs are not actually in the mountain. Water is pumped into an outdoor pool and an indoor pool. They have a sauna and steam room took coupled with a cold pool too - similar to a Hamam Turkish bath setting. Food was good but not the best. Staff were friendly and helpful. The Ryoken was a nice Japanese style room that we stayed in. The location is in the mountains which was scenic. Luckily it was snowing too. Location was convenient and close to Kyoto さらに表示

We stayed in this Ryokan on the final day of our journey. The room is a little old but very spacious. It has its own charm of the old ryokan with tatami mat. The dinner was very filling and we get to try all sorts of Japanese dishes that you don't get to eat in the city. The indoor onsen has 3 different water bath and you get to experience 3 different soaks) The outdoor onsen is a must, we get to witness the first snow in the morning while soaking in the outdoor onsen. It was an amazing experience. For travellers, you get to visit this onsen and pay 1000yen for entry fee just to soak in the onsen as they are open for public too. さらに表示

I love the staff service, they are all very nice and friendly. I love how they are very attentive to you. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and nature. The Roykan has a bit of old charm which I really love. Especially for foreigners who would like to experience a very close Japanese Roykan experience with out blow it your money.The course meal was very delicious, from appetiser, starter, main, soup, and desert.! Was brilliant and the staff who serve my dinner was a very lovely lady. Makes me feel very welcome and enjoy my meal. My room on the 2nd floor had a beautiful view of the Maple leave tree called HINOKI ROOM. MID AUTUMN is the best time to come visit this place. The Open Bath was amazing! I was able to enjoy the entire open bath all to myself , because in the morning there was no one yet. Was a luxury experience to be able to take my time enjoying the open door onsen. I'd give this place 10/10 for visit if you are coming to kyoto. さらに表示

The place is good. There are only public baths (indoor one and outdoor one). However, the price is a bit above average. It takes only about 45mn on a train from Kyto center to get there. So, there's no need to stay there overnight if you only want to experience the hot spring. さらに表示
