Beautiful hotel and wonderful room. Loved the option to set up futons to sleep on tatami mats; sliding doors and wood details in the room are gorgeous. Shower with private “onsen” tub was awesome. Helpful, friendly staff. Good location; about a 10-15 minute walk to the Gion-Shijo, Shijo and Kawaramachi Stations. Lots of nearby restaurants. Did laundry for 500 yen. Great staff. well located, close to markets and geisha district, can take direct buses to many other areas. staff most helpful and accommodating. especially appreciated the fact that they considered my request for early check in. as a vegetarian, the paid breakfast option was a waste of money. 3 slices of fruit, no milk, no juice, no bread. sticky rice and veg broth. さらに表示

Staff are friendly and polite. The room is clean. Location is good too. Easy to access tourists destinations via the train or buses as the stations/bus stops are within walking distances from this ryokan. Food restaurants are also nearby. The staff here are super friendly and they are able to converse in English.. They took the effort to guide you around the ryokan.. Perhaps the rooms are just being renovated and therefore there are visible dustwood in the room..other than that, everything is good.. さらに表示

Kyomachiya Ryokan Sakura - Urushitei is a nice beautiful Ryokan hotel .The staffs are so friendly, helpful, cheerful and proud of the hotel brand. I can not thank them enough for making our stay so memorable, i truly recomend this hotel to everyone. さらに表示

The private hot bath was the best 500 yen I've ever spent. The traditional japanese room with futons was an experience all by itself nevermind leaving the room. The staff are all wonderfully kind and extra helpful. They also speak excellent english. Loved it. Would stay again. さらに表示

The staff was very attentive and helpful. Was in the larger family room that had a regular bed and a Japanese style area(we sleep in this area every night). My only negative comment is they did not offer traditional Japanese meals in the room. Overall this hotel was perfect for us in terms of location, cost, service. We really liked this place. It's kind of a mix between a hotel and a traditional ryokan, which worked really well for us. We stayed in one of the special rooms with the extra upstairs loft area. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very nice and helpful. They recommended restaurants and made a dinner reservation for us. We had the breakfast one morning and that was a nice experience also, We would stay here again! One note, the traditional mats are a bit hard to sleep on, but they did have a foam pad for my boyfriend when he requested one. :) さらに表示

GREAT staff. Good breakfast. Nice ryokan experience for a fraction of the price. Ask for an extra mattress to sleep on the floor and it’s really comfortable. Other reviews mention “paper thin” walls. If you want to sleep in a traditional Japanese way, then this is the place for you. Located in a quiet neighborhood. Bus and train stations are about 15 to 20 minutes away by foot. Staff were really friendly and accomodating.. Will stay here again. さらに表示

The staff was very nice and helpful. It was fun to sleep some nights in japanese style at futon on the floor. They have bathtub for 1hour rental for 500yen, we did it twice, it was really nice after long day of tourism and walking. Great location. さらに表示

It is a good place to go home to after a long day of touring Kyoto. Though the bed foams were thin, I still had a nice sleep as the comforter made up for it! Only downside is they did not offer complimentary drinking water to the guests. You have to buy it unlike other hotels. But overall nice ryokan experience. さらに表示

Starting from the reception, staff, location, value for money, list can go on and on, everything was just excellent. Very strategic location - 5 min walk from subway, bus stops, close to Nishiki market, ATM, restaurants, quite and pleasant neighborhood. We stayed on the forth floor with the room that had very comfortable bed. Internet was good as well as room space and spotless bathroom. Overall it was a great choice for our four night stay in Kyoto. We had a great stay and would highly recommend the place. さらに表示

Love this cosy ryokan, very clean room, comfortable bedding, Very friendly staff. easy to explore to Nishiki Market and Gion District. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance. 15 min walk to Kiyomizu Gojo station to take the train to major tourist spots like Fushimi Inari and Kiyomizu Dera. The Japanese style Room felt very new and spacious with many charging points for our electronic devices. Location is not near to train station and took us about 10 minutes to walk to the nearest Shijo Station. We used the private bath for a small fee of 500yen and enjoyed it very much although it's a little small. There's no TV in the room but we don't mind it at all. There's Nespresso coffee at the lobby for a small fee of 200yen. Great service from the staff! さらに表示
