遅くなりましたが、本当にいい体験でした。旅館は旭川駅に近いし、住み心地も良かったです。女性の場合、和服体験もできます。素敵な思い出になりました。チェックアウトの日にお土産も頂いて、有り難うございました。そして、推薦してくれたラーメン屋さんは美味しかったです。有り難うございました！！ さらに表示

I would recommend this 60 year old establishment as a refreshing change from the production-line hotel experience in Japan. It is not luxurious by any stretch but what you do get is an authentic experience and I believe that is the best thing about traveling. I know many people want to be pampered when on holiday ( so do I at times), but this was worth every cent. The owner is a genuinely caring man, full of local knowledge and kindness. Read other reviews and look at the information on Agoda so you know what to expect- but don’t vault at the opportunity to spent time here. さらに表示

If visiting during winter, there are only 2 cons for me - getting to this place from the Asahikawa station and contacting them. Location is ideal as it was close to the Heiwa Dori where the ice sculptures were, but in cold weather at night it was not easy to walk here. But in sunny weather, the 10-min walk would not be a problem. Also, I emailed them a couple of times to arrange for a pick-up or ask about the free shuttle I read, or at least breakfast for 2 days, and had Agoda helpdesk to confirm email (the websites I've seen do not reflect the correct email), but I never got a reply. I should've tried to call them on the phone but usually I shy away from that due to the possible language issues and also it being expensive on my end. So this was the main issue for me. But I still would recommend staying in this place to anyone else looking for a good ryokan budget-wise in this town - brekky and 2 big rooms given to you, plus the owners were very hospitable and do their best to help. さらに表示

The cons: It was a little far from Asahikawa station (about 10 min walk) and it wasn't easy walking in the snow with luggage. But other than that, everything was perfect! Please, please pay the 500 JPY for the breakfast. I had it on two days and they were the culinary highlights of my trip despite them being home-cooked fare! Every dish was well executed. I was so happy savouring the myriad of flavours in each small dish and the freshness of the ingredients. Imagine all the dishes put together, and with hokkaido rice that was so fragrant that I could weep. I booked single room and it was way more spacious than other rooms you can get in Japan; the heating was great and futon comfortable. The old couple was really friendly and went out of the way to help. They served snacks every afternoon (that warm milk and royce chocolate after walking in the cold) and offered to drive me to some places. I'll remember Asahikawa for 2 things - first the zoo, second this ryokan. Definitely going back! さらに表示

Just minutes on foot to many local restaurants and a 10-15 minute walk to the train station. They also have a private garage (free) for 1-2 cars if you are driving. A very local home stay experience. さらに表示

Ojichan (in indonesia, we call him opa haha) was the kindest! We checked in very late, yet they waited for us, and even brought us warm milk & royce chocolate. The room itself was very ryokan-like and we fell in love with it right away. Oh, and the kimono was of high quality, make sure to make good use of it by taking a lot of pictures before checking out haha.. The best part was ojichan drove us (twice!) to the station, first one because it’s raining, second one because we brought our luggages. We were moved again when he gave each of us gifts. All in all, mimatsusou ryokan has made us experienced the uniqueness and thoughtfulness of japanese ❤ さらに表示

Even it was some noise when i walked(the wood floor), only one bath room, share toilets but it is very nice place, space is ok, clean, things for bath they offers is good. I love the warm milk welcome drink with Royce cookies and a gift from them when i check out. They are very lovely. Impress them very much. I don't usually write the optional portion of the review, much less long ones. Having said that, the stay here warrants an exception and let me tell you why :) From the photos uploaded by the owner, as well as the price of the room, I would say I didn't expect much at all from the stay. The original intent was just to use it as an overnight shelter for 2 nights. However, the stay was simply splendid. I was greeted by the owners (Husband, wife, daughter, and even a cat!) each time I left the hostel as well as return after a long day of exploration. They felt like family to me. On day 1, I reached late into the night, and the daughter went up to offer me Royce baton cookies and green tea at 10pm..now who will do that? On day 2, it was raining heavily and I came back drenched. Upon noticing that, the daughter again offered me a cracker, as well as warm milk that not only heat up my body but my soul too. And they even took my wet shoes and dry it on their own accord. The customer service here knows no boundaries.. Simply put, its service right from the heart On the last day, I decided to give a small tip to the owners out of goodwill, yet they refused it despite everything they have done. After much persuasion, they accepted it, and in exchange, gave a souvenir unique to hokkaido that is personal to them. That is wonderful. I would gladly stay with them multiple times! Who cares if the room is old, the light flickers when the aircon starts operation, creaky floors, and a single bathroom shared by 16 potential occupants, it's service genuine from the heart that triumphs in the end, and they are examplary for this. Bravo! On a side note, do order the breakfast! Classic traditional breakfast consisting of salmon belly, rice, miso soup, salad, fruits, yoghurt drink, and more at just 700 yen! It's awesome! さらに表示

The old couple with a cat will greet you warmly with Royce chocolate and milk. We have a room just futons plus a living area..spacious, clean & quiet. 8-10mins walk to Asahikawa Station/Aeon supermarket. Walkable to all shopping and restaurants. Welcome drink/snack/ everyday when we back to the hotel. Room is old but very clean. Hotel is located near train station/shopping street, very convenient. Host is very kind, they take us to the train station by his own car and give some gift when we leave the hotel. さらに表示

Best stay of our trip! Owner and family were extremely helpful and kind, offering to drive us to a ramen place as it was raining. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. They even provided small gifts for all guests. They have a really adorable cat too さらに表示

The owner of the ryokan was extremely courteous and helpful. He dropped us off at the station when we were leaving and even gave us souvenirs! I would strongly recommend getting breakfast as well. The host family is very nice and helpful. I was provided chocolate biscuit and a glass of tea at my arrival in the room. On the second day, I was provided a slice of melon (seasonal fruit at my time of stay) and a glass of tea. I feel so warm by their hospitality. The room is very clean, though not big, and it's a traditional Japanese one. The only problem may be that only one male and one female washroom are available on each floor, and only one bathroom is available for the whole ryokan (hostel), so you may have to try your luck to take shower a couple of times to see if there's anyone inside. After all, I was very satisfied with the money that I paid for this excellent quality of service and accommodation. さらに表示
