Me and my girlfriend decided to stay here for one night after many recommendations. Turned out to be well worth it after a long and eventful vacation this was the perfect place to finally let loose and unwind for a bit. You get your own Japanese style room (we chose for that) with our very own private bath outside where we relaxed for the majority of the time. The ryokan is located in an extremely peaceful place with beautiful scenery where you can walk around and explore the surrounding area. We also had the opportunity to meet two Geisha's and talk to them for a bit during our meal and watched them perform. The food in our opinion was unique but not as delicious as most people said it was. But the experience itself overall was worth it. The staff was incredible helpful and nice. I recommend it. さらに表示

We requested halal option (no meat, no mirin etc) for dinner and they were very accomodating. We got to converse with the meiko and saw some fireflies. The ryokan was very traditional and surrounded by maple trees さらに表示

This was amazing, everything from the private onsen to the kaiseki dinner, and hiking trails near by, were perfect. By far our favourite experience in Japan! Rooms are small and very old fashioned, it really makes you feel like you stepped back in time. さらに表示

Its our first time to japan and first time staying at ryokan, but this place has not fail us and gave us a memorable ryokan experience. We were greeted warmly by the staffs even though we can only communicate in simple english but it is good enough to cater to our needs. It has scenic views and ambience was surreal and refreshing with fresh air :) We stayed in the traditional tatami room and had kaiseki dinner .. it was really enjoyable and our pleasure to savour each dish and with the english menu it helps us to understand what ingredient were prepared and we are able to appreciate the dishes even more. the public bathroom and room were very cleab and tidy. We spent hours researching different Ryokans in Kyoto and chose this one because of the beautiful remote location and private outdoor bath. I am so glad that we went with this one. There are no words for how beautiful the location of this Ryokan is. It's remote, but getting there was super easy with the shuttle they provide. The service was also amazing, they made us feel so special and it was truly a unique experience staying here. I'd love to go back. さらに表示

I booked the hotel for a 3-person trip of my parents and me. The hotel is located in a quiet and beautiful valley, where we went for walks in the morning and at evening. The food included is very delicious, traditional Japanese style. The shared hot spring room is not big but since there are not many visitors in the hotel, it’s like a private one. This place it's very natural and beautiful . We stayed in Kyoto City for 3 days . We only booked 1 night at Momigia , but we wish we had more time . It was so peaceful and beautiful . We had lots of walk in nature in the area. Staff very so kind and helpful . They were very respectful and lovely . Just lovely , thanks so much . We have had an pleasant night in this hot-spring hotel. The staff are considerate and always cheerful. Even if it was a rainy day, they even helped to brush your shoes and luggage tires . The food was delicately presented and good in flavour. Momijiya is located next to a river with a breathtaking view. All the things here are just impressively wonderful. さらに表示

Location was up in the mountains about 15 mins away from Kyoto City center. It was a magical experience. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. They offered a free shuttle from one of the JR stations at specific times every day. I haven't experienced other Ryokens but this one exceeded my expectations. The room includes a Japanese traditional dinner AND breakfast. The room we got had a private bath looking out to the trees. You really can't beat the view. Highly recommended! さらに表示

It was a trip with my parents, they were really satisfied. Ryokan's scenery was great and it had a private outdoor bath of batkan. Japanish dinner and maico's performance were excellent, especially breakfast was very good. The Ryokan staff were very kind to every little thing. When we wanted to go to private bathroom in honkan, they offered a pick up service from bakkan to honkan. Ryokan was so quiet and clean that it was enough place to finish the good vacation. If you want to relax and to be connected to Nature this is definitely the place for you to stay, especially if you have spent some time in downtown Kyoto already. As soon you arrive the Ryokan the time has a different rhythm. Wonderful experience, the highlight of our trip, soaking into Japanese culture with their respect of nature, interacting with maikos over a lovely meal. The room with an individual bath also gave us the privacy that we wanted. It's a pity that we couldn't stay longer as the check out is at 10am さらに表示

Staff are very friendly and always attentive to our needs. We took the bus to the accommodation and as soon as we got off the bus, a staff came up to us to help us with our luggage. Momijiya is absolutely wonderful. I visited in February. It’s definitely more for couples than a couple of friends traveling in Japan, but I had an awesome experience regardless. The location is beautiful and remote, up a windy mountain road and the hotel is nestled into a river with a really cool suspension bridge. The Kaiseki dinner and breakfast was an incredible experience (first time for me). The staff was so Warm and friendly, they took care of every detail; shuttle to and from Kyoto, adding foot warmers to the beds at night. I would love to come back here in the late spring when everything’s is in bloom or in the fall with the leaf colors. さらに表示

I went there for 1 day as part of our Honeymoon. It was totally worth it and me and hubby wished to stay longer. Pickup We took shuttle from the station and even though I forgot to inform them the pickup time, I had no issue of taking the shuttle bus. The bus arrived on time and it has “Momijiya” sign on the side the bus. Room We stayed at western style room because we just wanted to have a bigger room with nice terrace area, even though we actualky didn’t use the bed. The staff nicely prepared putton after dinner as we requested. Bath area It was perfect for us! The water was warm and we could easily warm up. The small garden area next to bath was amazing. It really help release all our fatigue after all the wedding prep. Haha! Food Dinner was served to our room. Food is served nicely one by one and at the end, you will be pretty full! They have beer/drink options to add. Breakfast was also good and athentic japanese style. Overall, I would love to revisit them! さらに表示

This place was absolutely stunning. It was a big highlight for our trip and we would recommend it to everyone. The hosts were great and accomidating and they even had full traditional Japanese meals for dinner and breakfast. If I ever return to Japan I will be returning to this ryokan. さらに表示
