It's a really quaint and clean place. Rooms are very new. I actually enjoyed my stay there. There's still ongoing renovations so it gets a little noisy in the day. Rooms are separated by very thin walls and it's common to be hearing noise from other rooms. Breakfast is more of an appetiser but that doesn't really affect because there's so much food around the area that you should be going for instead. さらに表示

Best place I’ve stayed in Hokkaido. Warm breakfast in the morning served by their friendly staffs. Only had an issue when the staff was not at the counter all the time. Had questions but staff was not at the counter reception since 9.30pm, rang the bell thrice and waited til 10pm still no response さらに表示

around 15 minutes to the water way, clean house although depending on the guests sharing with you, guests behaving dishonorably may let you feel bad, that's the disadvantage to share the bathroom with others. Poor soundproof since it is a traditional Japanese style house. Very cheap though, convenient store nearby. さらに表示

The host serve us a very good breakfast and we enjoyed the breakfast there. The host provide free car park in front of the house. The host provide a big room for 3 persons with Japanese Titami bed and garden view, we enjoyed staying there. Anyway, there is railstation pass by every 15 minutes until 12midnight. Plum House is located at the central of Otaru and it is walking distance to most of the attractions in town. The house is well maintained, and onwer prepared delicious breakfast for the guests in the morning. Thumbs up! さらに表示

The aunty-in-charge definitely has OCD issue. She kinda supervised us on how to change from shoes to the house slippers. She was quite annoyed when my 3 years old girl did not follow her instruction. Also, she insisted that we showed her the booking details from booking.com even though i explained to her that we booked through agoda. No matter what, there was sufficient info to prove tt i was the one who booked the room. In the end, i got try to log in agoda to spend some time to prove tt we booked the room thru agoda with booking.com supplied the room. One last time, the futon is just cheap n thin foldable bed (not those proper futons found in ryokan) so not recommended for pple with back pain. Breakfast was simple. first time trying on traditional japanese house. everything is so typical japenese style with the owner is staying under one roof. like this new experience as it is similar to homestay kinda feel. breakfast is typical & authentic japanese food cooked by the owner herself. nothing feel way better than this if you want to experience typical japanese lifestyle. さらに表示

The house is situated in the alleyway, some of these alleys are a little dodgy at night, so girls be careful, walk the main streets. There's free parking but limited, probably have to reserve it with the house when u do your booking. Make sure u park at the designated areas, some other lots are for the other shops. The house and bath are generally clean, but it can be noisy - nearby there's the traintracks and coming from the other guests with elephant feet and screaming kids. Otherwise it is a 10-15 min nice walk to the canal. A good last minute deal or for the Budget conscious traveller. さらに表示

Location is good, walking distance to the canal and otaru station. There are also many good foods around. Breakfast is very authentic. Bathroom and toilet are shared and very limited. Only 2 hangers for you to hang your clothes. No mirror in the room, which is therefore inconvenient for the ladies if they wanna make up and have to go to the shared toilet. さらに表示

We arrived a night and though it took google maps to help us find the entrance, the inside was very pleasant. It had a nice cozy feeling and felt like you were at home. The owner provides a typical Japanese breakfast in the morning and the facilities were very clean. My friends and I really enjoyed our one night stay there. As it is a japanese-style, just a reminder to wear slippers in the house, but take off before entering the rooms with tatami mats :) さらに表示

About 10 mins walk from JR Otaru, about 15 mins walk from Otaru Canal area. The homestay had a distance from main tourist area, if you like to stay and experience Otaru like a local, you should stay here! Host prepares delicious homemade breakfast as well. さらに表示

It is around 10 mins walk from the main train station while there is free parking space in this place. Room is very clean and there is Japanese style breakfast served in the morning. Our family loves this place very much. さらに表示

Cozy pension in a 15min walking distance, the room is cozy and clean the Japanese style breakfast is also very nice but the room is not isolated, you can hear people's talking in the upper stair. Generally it worth every penny you paid, if you are light sleeper then remember to use earplugs. さらに表示
