決して安くない宿泊費にもかかわらず、部屋付きのユニットバスは、掃除が疎かだった。 チェックイン後、部屋に案内された後、部屋に付いたトイレに入ったら、バスタブの外側、トイレスペースの右隅に、前の滞在者のらしき髪の毛やクズが溜まったまま残っていて、ちゃんと掃除されていなかった事が、とても残念でした。 シャワーカーテンは、バスタブ側にあがってたので、隠れていた訳でもなく、見落とすような状況じゃなかったので、ちゃんと掃除完了のチェックして欲しかった。 スタッフを呼んで、片付けて貰おうとしたのですが、待ち合わせに急いでいて、慌てて出かけ、戻りも遅く、いいそびれました。 安宿ではないので、気持ちよく過ごさせて頂くスペースを購入させて頂いているのに、こういう事は、最後まで残念な気持ちになりました。 部屋にトイレやバスがあるのは、有難いけれど、部屋に内扉や段差が多く、間取りとして少し使いづらかった。 部屋にある木の椅子は、堅くて長くすわれず、くつろげないのが残念。 さらに表示

All in all, best experience offered. Every aspect of the property is fantastic. If you include breakfast, its quite an experience with the way its served. Close to the station, onsite onsen experience, excellent food, great caring staff, exceptional rooms with amenities. さらに表示

Very spacious traditional Japanese inn. Staff were very helpful and helped to carry our luggage down from the 2nd floor as there was no lift. Even sent us to the JR station as it was snowing when we left Takayama. さらに表示

Would fully recommend (and would stay here again). Beautiful traditional place in Takayama. Staff were very sweet and helpful. It had a warm and peaceful atmosphere. Japanese style breakfast delicious. And although it had a “public” Onsen we managed to get it to ourselves. 5 minutes walk to the train/bus station and 5 minutes walk into the old town. Ideal location. A bit on the expensive side, but well worth it for the traditional experience. さらに表示

Ryokan is located within walking distance to the Takayama train and bus station. Room is spacious and clean, and has comfortable sitting area for tea/coffee. Onsen is available within the ryokan. Though it’s not as near to the train station as mentioned but the service is great. Greeted w warm reception with a hot cup of soyabean tea after dragging the luggage thru the snow and given a detail n full guide right to our room steps. Even brief us the aircon & heater control. Asunaro family Ryokan is experienced with running a hotel to high international standards. From the moment you reach to the gate, you can already tell their staffs have put a lot thoughts behind everything. The rooms are nice and large. Onsen is clean and well maintained. Although it might take time to get used to sleep on tatami, which can be a little hard to sleep on..But allover experience of this hotel is a 5 stars! We felt pampered. さらに表示

The location is about 10 minutes walk from train station which is quite easy to get there once you know the direction. Is within walking distance to morning market . The ryokan is very homely and the owner speaks good English and he and his Wife is very friendly . The Onsen is abit small though . Food is good and overall highly recommended 👍 さらに表示

Very enjoyable stay at Ryokan Asunaro. Staff and owners were very nice, warmly greeting us at check-in/out and whenever we ventured out and returned. The lobby area is beautiful, rooms comfortable and the onsen so relaxing. We chose to walk from the station. I would recommend that you take the side streets as the streets with stop lights were busy with cars and the walking area was narrow and (in February) sometimes covered in snow. Did not have dinner but our 2 breakfasts were delicious and a feast for the eyes. さらに表示

We do have a little problem locating the ryokan. Every time we go back to the ryokan, we need to depend on the google map. However, it is within walking distance to the surrounding attractions, food, train and bus station. When first check-in, the staff gives personal attention and introduce us to the facilities, house rules. We also placed order for Hida Beef, Sashimi set dinner prior to our arrival with the hotel. Though the price seems expensive, but it is worth the freshness, details in presentation, attention by the service staff, and the many varieties of food served one after another. It is really a traditional Japanese meal. They day of our check-out, there is heavy snow, and the boss actually sent us to the bus station himself, we really appreciate the kindness. We feel like going to a five-star local home where your needs are met before you request. They offer friendly reminders a few days before your arrival and the hot tea on arrival make both your heart and body warm in such cold weather. We love the beautiful yukata rented for free. Cheerful staff who make you feel like home. The room is spacious and the meals are wonderful. We'd like to say thanks again for the lovely handmade New Year's gift! さらに表示

It was my first time staying at Ryokan and we are enjoying. We have no complaint besides there is no attached bathroom only an attached WC. The dinner set portion was too big for us, however it is so delicious. Overall, will recommend to stay here and it is walking distance to the JR Station. さらに表示

Travelling as part of a group with four people new to Japan and ryokan (we had three rooms booked for two nights.) We appreciate the friendly staff and check-in is straight forward, including the explanation of how things work and the various protocols. It is a good ryokan to visit for a 1st time traditional inn. The layout might confuse some people as there is the traditional inn building, but the rooms are in an attached (more modern) building, but this does not detract from the traditional rooms (tatami mats and futons). Pretty comfortable. Special mention goes to the staff for organising a gluten free breakfast - they got special gluten-free breads and options for one of our group, and this was appreciated. さらに表示

Ryukan Asunaro was one of our best experiences during our Japan trip. The staff was so polite and informative about the rules around the hotel (these rules weren't the imposing kinds trust me) Every detail about this traditional Inn made you feel and live like a local Japanese - such as, taking off your shoes at the entrance of the Inn, eating your dinner wearing kimonos provided by the hotel, having green tea in the lobby around a charcoal fireplace. They also have their own onsen (Japanese bath) which should not be missed! iOne thing to bear in mind is that they have rooms with private bath and rooms with a shared bath, so book accordingly as per your preference. Overall, if you are looking to experience traditional Japanese home living then this place should be your mandatory choice! The location is also really close to the station (just 10 mins walk) and the central market area is also about the same distance from the inn. Thank you Asunaro for an excellent experience. さらに表示

It was our first time staying in a ryokan and we loved it. The owners and staff were friendly and spoke good English so it was easy to communicate. The place was lovely and the onsen was a plus point, as well as the kimonos that we could wear while in the ryokan. Location is close to the station so it’s easy to reach. さらに表示

We drove from Nagoya to this hotel. It was great. Staff was friendly. The room is Japanese style with good lighting and heater to keep us warm. Their breakfast was amazing with HOBA Miso, quite impressive. I recommend to stay two days if possible if you are in Takayama area to explore. ALSO, MUST EAT HIDA BEEF @ near by spot. Avoid one particular ramen shop. No bathroom in the room, must use onsen area. but toilet is in the room さらに表示
