チェックイン前に、荷物を預けに行きました。旅行雑誌などで調べても時期的にイベントなどはないものだと思っていましたが、出迎えてくださった宿のご主人がライトアップの情報を教えてくださり、とても嬉しかったです！家族風呂にも入らせていただきましたが、あがった後に麦茶を持ってきていただいたりと心遣いが素晴らしかったです。ぜひまた利用したいと思います。ありがとうございました。 さらに表示

Very friendly and helpful staff that ensured we enjoy our stay. Helped to carry our luggage up and down the stairs while checking in and out. As the building is mainly made of wood, we had to keep our voices low. Other than that, we truly enjoyed the hospitality at Ryokan Shimizu! さらに表示

A wonderful experience in a Ryokan. The couple who ran it were excellent, he provided so much information and maps on places to visit. I rarely write reviews, but in this case I thought one was absolutely necessary as I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Ryokan Shimizu. The owners were warm, kind, and sincere; the room was big a d spotlessly clean; the location was great - very close to the main train station; the price for everything was very reasonable. Having a traditional japan-style room at this price is already unbelievable, it is almost too good to be true to have a private onsen session for free! The hotel staff are super nice, they gave us free umbrella as it was snowing on the day we checked out. Totally amazed by this place <3 さらに表示

Room is clean and just good for 2 persons. Enjoyed our private onsen in our last night. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Gave us a pack of heat pack to keep our body warm before we set out on our journey in the morning.. Short walk of approx. 7mins. from Kyoto station. People at the reception and hotel were very friendly and helpful. Although there wasn't any elevator to the second floor, the guy was very kind to offer to help me carries my luggages down! It's also near the convenience store and ten mins walk to Kyoto tower and Kyoto station, where's there're a lot of good restaurants. さらに表示

Cute ryokan with Great location,(5~7 min. from kyoto station by walk) very low price, good hospitality. If you want to experince with Japanese house, It would be a good oppertunity. We stayed at triple-room with private shower booth and separate toilet. Even it was small but it's ok for me and my two daughters. We reached Kyoto late, and until Ryokan Shimizu's place was warmly welcomed by the owner. It is approximately 15 minutes' walk from Kyoto Station. The place is clean and well groomed. The owner is very friendly and very helpful when my shoes are sent to Tokyo and I have started to panic because of having to shoot in the morning, the owner of the ryokan lend his shoes. さらに表示

Excellent stay. Enjoyed the traditional rooms and use of the private onsen. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Ideal location for Kyoto station but a half hour walk or so from the more central part of Kyoto. A quiet street although the building is wooden so sound travels but the staff encourage quiet times to ensure it is quiet at night. Super welcoming and friendly staff, really nice and cute building. Room was very comfortable for 2, though sound does carry through the wooden walls. Location was very convenient - about 10 min walk from the high speed rail station and local bus terminal...also many restaurants nearby. Ryokan Shimizu is within 10mins walk to Kyoto Station, where you can catch public transport to all attractions. That said, it is in a quiet neighbourhood without much to eat or see in the immediate surroundings. So you do need to catch a bus or train to go everywhere. The ryokan itself is very comfortable and the room is of decent size. It is not a luxury ryokan as reflected from its price but service was warm and friendly. Good choice for travelers who wish to be close to the train station but not so for someone who like to be in the middle of the action. 12am curfew is a matter of consideration too. さらに表示

The staff / owner assisted us with our baggage when we checked in and provided us with welcoming tea. We used the onsen and it was very relaxing. The room is spacious and the futon is fluffy. You can wear the kimono & yukata for free. The owner gave us souvenir & took a polaroid photo of us. Friendly owner & helpful staffs. Will definitely comeback here! さらに表示

We only stayed one night but it was definitely worth it. The ryokan was only a 10 minute walk from Kyoto Station. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and well stocked with all the basic necessities. If I had one complaint it would be a preferred earlier check in and the ability to store our luggage for a longer period before and after check out.
