I really loved Ryoso Kawaguchi, it was extremely clean, well run and the food was superb. The staf were very friendly, kind and professional also. It had a nice relaxed atmosphere and the room was beautiful. Overall it stood out as one of the nicest places I have stayed in Japan so far, if I could have stayed another night I would have. さらに表示

I arrived there with my friend, thankfully they upgraded me to a double room that was available then. I didn't know that the cost is not per room, but per person, so head's up for anyone booking with the former in mind.
Minus the misunderstanding, the location is literally walking distance from the beautiful red Torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine. At night, the shrine and the gate light up and it's totally worth taking a stroll from this lovely and cozy ryokan to the shrine and back, as well as trying out an izakaya in the area. The hosts were kind enough to pick us up from the ferry terminal since we arrived late (around 9 or 10 PM). There is plenty of helpful information available at the check in desk in English and Japanese. Also the in-ryokan onsen/bath is a must. Highlight of my trip.

I think the hotel is run by a couple. The lady boss is very kind, humble and friendly. She can converse in english well. She would provide you with many recommendation and suggestion, all the info about the island that are necessary for you to know.
The hotel is actually a ryokan. It's designed with those beautiful traditional Japanese lifestyle and furnished with those tatami floor mats, futon beds and Onsen (Japanese style bath). The place is cosy for anyone who stay, especially those who would like to try staying in ryokan.
Just right in front of the hotel is a short lane (approx 120m) that leads you to the beach. There you can see both the Great Tori and Itsukushima Shrine.
The hotel is situated at the shopping district, surrounded with many restaurants and souvenir shops. Most restaurants would close at 6pm, so it would be advisable for you to have a early dinner. Only a few restaurants will close slightly later, and you could ask the lady boss for more info about this. さらに表示

내가 원하는 분위기였으며 방도 깨끗하고 정원이 보여 좋았다. 물론 스텝분이 나이가 좀 있으신 분인데 영어로 설명을 잘해주셔서 전혀 어려움이 없었다. (Room condition was wonderful and clean. Also, we enjoyed the little garden in my room. Japanese woman step in lobby was so kind and explained information of ryokan and miyajima very well for me in english)

非常温馨！老板娘和老板都非常可爱，会仔细介绍经典，美食；我在风吕和房间都丢了一个东西，退房的时候老板娘还给我；风吕可以预约，是私人的，一大一小两间可选～房间隔音还可以，外面街上有人走过会有声音，整体街道本身就很安静，老板腰不太好，但是会开车接送宫岛口的bus，要预约～ さらに表示
