Great choice for budget conscious travelers. Less than 10 minutes walk from Kyoto station. Facilities are spotless, quiet and comfortable. Staff are extremely courteous. Nice lounge in the lobby makes up for the lack of space in guest rooms. Complimentary coffee and tea provide refreshing experience after a long day visit to Kyoto City. さらに表示

Hot spring was close for renov. Hotel offer to go sis hotel to use facility but we didn’t cos it was c late when we check in. U can walk without luggage to kyoto station with 8mins. But if u drag luggage n raining it will take a longer time. Bus nearby too to gion area. Comfortable place to stay n use the lobby area for tea n relax. さらに表示

I was there for 4 nights during the golden week. I'm quite claustrophobic so I couldn't stay in the room more than 1 night. The room is a rectangle where the bed is the size of the lenght. You can hardly drop your luggages in the entry.
Despite that the staff was really helpfull with me to find another hotel, they have a good breakfast too. Don't go here if you like space.... さらに表示

Though the room is very small, they have a spectacular public bath I must say ! They provide bathsuit and bag to carrry your stuff when going to the public bath which are all very nice items. They even have free water in front of the public bath area for guests. The lobby & pantry look very nice. It will take you around 10 - 15mins to walk to Kyoto station but it's ok. さらに表示

We loved staying there! The breakfast was tasty, and they have unlimited free tea and coffee stations with many delicious flavors. The staff was nice and helpful.
The only thing - after we fully paid Agoda booking they asked us to pay additional tourist fees, around 200 Yen per person per night, which is quite a lot and was unexpected. I would suggest the hotel to include this fee to the total price, otherwise, we felt a bit fooled. さらに表示

Very neat place to stay! It has a well-themed coffee & eatery inside where people staying can socialise and enjoy complimentary coffee. Although guests don’t have individual bathrooms to themselves, the stylish shared bathroom certainly makes up for it! The hotel room is really tiny but clean and functional. The hotel is also conveniently located abt 10 mins walk from Kyoto station, which is a major transportation hub. though it is a lower class of Sakura Terrace Company, it does everything above the average!
first, price is reasonable, we only paid hkd 4xx per night.
second, new property with modern design and clean interior.
plus, room and bed is spacious when you compare with other similar hotels or capsules.
fianlly, public bath and toilet was so clean that make you feel like at home.
must reserve again next time in Kyoto!

Loved everything about this hostel, it's so chic, clean and wonderful, I'm usually quite a light sleeper but I had 3 great night sleeps here :)
It's totally free if you want to do your laundry, both washer and dryer are free of charge.
Breakfast cost 800 yen every morning if you wish to eat in, it's in a semi-buffet style where you could choose 1 main and enjoy salad, yogurt, and few side dishes from the mini buffet.
The public bath is great, the only smallest flaw I would say about this hostel is there are only 2 toilets on each floor (for girls, not sure if it's the same in male toilet), you might have to wait a little in the morning especially during weekend stay (weekday seems to be more quiet, I never ran into other guests in the morning) but if you really can't stand the wait, going down to the first floor is not a biggie anyway :)
Overall super satisfied with my stay and would definitely recommend this hostel to budget travelers. さらに表示
