Visited Shigakogen during one of the largest snow storms in Nagano 2018 season. Over 88cm/34" in 2 days so conditions were great! Hotel is located BEHIND the Holiday-Plaza hotel off Route 471 - I say this as in a winter blizzard it's hard to find from the main street. You can't see it and will need to drive down the road behind Holiday-Plaza hotel to get to the Shiga Park Hotel main entrance.
Rooms are kinda dated. Wall-paper stained and starting to peel. Difficult to maintain ski lodges in harsh winter conditions. As for cleanliness, unfortunately mine had a lot of black hair on the futon, sink, and bathtub. The cleaners didn't clean very well hence the 2 stars. Other than that though, Japanese service was great. 3 people came in to make my futon bed without being asked. Steam heater is way too hot. Instructions on how to turn it off were provided. Power to the steam heater turns on at 5 a.m and causes a lot of noise! Other than that okay stay. さらに表示

Very comfortable and good hospitality by the staff. It provided ski rentals and is close to ski facilities. Just 3 minutes drive away or walking by 10 minutes to ski. さらに表示
