娘三姉妹の家族と総勢12名で泊まりました。 両親が元気なうちに温泉旅行に行こうと思い、妹家族とスケジュールを調整してやっと実現しました。 四万温泉なら「たむら」だということで行きましたが、お風呂もお食事もおもてなしもさすがは「たむら」です。カラオケルームもお借りして3時間歌いまくり大盛り上がりでした。両親も大喜びでした。 また家族で行きたいと思います。 さらに表示

宿泊翌日の自転車のイベント見学に男性１人で初めて宿泊させて頂きました。スタッフの対応がとても良かったです。温泉も良かったです。次回は、家族で宿泊したいです。 さらに表示

It is especially great if you just want to laze in the ryokan. Enjoy 7 different type of hot spring within the premise. The staff were very warm and welcoming. Service is excellent. If I can suggest improvement, it will be for the waiters who serve the dinner to know what food they are serving. This will add value and the customer will be able to appreciate the dinner more. Oh, and by the way, the ryokan is located at the end of a uphill slope. Extremely tiring to bring the luggages up. So, just be prepared! さらに表示

I went to Tamura Ryokan with my mother as part of our trip to tokyo. We took the tokyo-shima onsen bus which made the commute super easy. The ryokan is up on the hill- the highest point in the shima onsen area. My mom and I were carrying luggages and the staff members rushed to help us when they saw us nearing the entrance. We were really impressed with their kindness and care for visitors. We were soon checked in and were briefed on different onsen options available at the Ryokan. We stayed in the standard japanese style room with a mountain view. The space was clean, spacious and the view was just beautiful. I was a-little skeptical at first as shima onsen is not widely popular as kusatsu onsen at least to tourists. Also It seems like people prefer to stay at shikizenkan when they visit shima. I didnt quite understand why tamura wasnt as widely known or reviewed on agoda despite the beautiful photos. Well, little did I know this place was a hidden gem! There are about seven onsens to choose from, which is plenty for a night stay. Two of them are mixed gender- I havent been able to visit those as I was alittle confused by what mix-gender onsen meant. The staff explained to me that it is required to wear swim suit or clothing in those onsen.. when I went to check how it looked like- I saw a naked man rush inside the mens onsen as soon as he heard us approaching lol To me it seemed like he was just as confused with the mix gender onsen policy as i was XD The other five female onsens were very relaxing, clean, and also beautifully designed. I had so much fun staying here. The best part is that there are no tourists in this ryokan!! My mom and i were the only foreigners staying. It was so great to experience authentic japanese ryokan culture. It was one of the best memory I had from this trip. Ps. the food was amazing. Also try to visit when its snowing. My friend and I missed the dinner (and so cannot review that) as we had difficulties reaching the area, travelling 10 hrs from Osaka to Nakanojo, arriving at the station after 9pm, which supports how incredibly extraordinary the staff at Shima Tamura really is. After 9pm there are no taxis, buses, or any kind of transport to the onsen asides from a 4 hour walk up. We found this out by attempting to pantomiming + trying our best to call for rides with incredibly poor Japanese and were eventually resigned to sleeping at the terminal as there were also no other hotels nearby (also a no go according to the station attendant). We were only saved by pure chance! Another hotel owner, coming to pick up their guests, happened to overhear our troubles and suggested (/ended up calling Shima Tamura for us; we are eternally grateful!!). The staff graciously came to pick us up. The rest of the night that we managed to enjoy was incredibly worthwhile. さらに表示

Good onsen to just stay and relax. "Town" was quite deserted with most shops closed (weekday), which was okay because the ryokan is up a very steep uphill walk. Rotemburo near a (man_made) waterfall is nice but small. There are other mostly small onsens on site, mostly just for soaking (no wash facilities) which are also nice. Meals were very good. Room (superior Japanese style) was very big, comfortable and clean. Multiple elevators can be confusing (two separate ones just to get to room). さらに表示

I love this place as the onsen are good especially the one that is facing a mini waterfall by the river. The onsen are separated between male and female. My room is very big and can have another 3 persons to sleep over. The staff is very friendly and they will bring you to the room and explain the different onsen and also how to go to your room and the dinning places. Dinner was marvelous and breakfast is buffet with good choices. さらに表示
