白川郷バスターミナルから徒歩１０分。小さなゲストハウスだったが、スタッフは本当に親切で熱情をもって優しく色々やってくれた。チェックアウトの時、バスターミナルまで荷物を持ってくれた！部屋も御手洗もすごく小さいけど、清潔感のある所で、いい時間を過ごした。すぐ近くも白川郷の湯もあって、ゆっくりにされてた。 さらに表示

1泊でしたが、楽しく白川郷観光を満喫できました。 宿泊前から、白川郷の観光案内や食事の情報を提供してもらえて助かりました。 宿泊中困ったことがあっても相談にのってくれるし、お客様への熱心さが伝わってきました。 お部屋は和とモダンを融合した感じで、設備は充実しており、シャワートイレ洗面所が使いやすかったです。外国人の方も大喜びするようなお部屋です。 朝食もゲストハウスで栽培している野菜や 白川村の食材を使った体にやさしい食事ができます。 今度は違った季節に行きたいです。 さらに表示

(良かった事) スタッフの方が親切 (悪かった事) 古民家を改装してペンションにしているため、足音が響いて寝付けないのと落ち着いて部屋で過ごせない。 1泊37000円と料金が高いのにも関わらず朝食のパン、バター、ジャム、スライス ロースハム、チーズ、生卵、各人数分は用意してあり各自セルフサービスで調理😱使用した調理器具、皿、コップ、ナイフ、フォーク、等々も洗浄して収納😨色々とペンションのポリシーやらうたってますが、宿泊代と内容が伴わない宿です。勿論、絶対にお薦め出来ない宿です。 さらに表示

Lovely converted old house into modern hostel, we love the room, bath room and the view - forest and Sho river. There is a suburb near the hotel, with cafe and restaurants (serving Hida beef at reasonable price) sprouting up. The simple breakfast is DIY, as the ingredient was provided. It's a 10 min walk from the bus station, and can be an issue if it's raining or snowing. That's the only downside. さらに表示

We stayed only for a night but managed to enjoy the dinner provided (around 1800 yen per pax I think). Highly recommended to go for the dinner because its really delicious and the vegetables are really fresh, even the rice were planted by the owner herself. Also, getting dinner around might not be so ideal in winter because it can get really cold and it is really just easier and more relaxed to be able to have a nice and warm dinner at home. The room is very big and the en suite bathroom is really clean and well kept. We went in winter so they provided a heater which we thought worked really well for such a big room. The ingredients provided for us to prepare our own breakfast was also tasty. It was lovely to be able to enjoy the process of making our breakfast the way we wanted. It was a really short stay for us but I recommend this place for people who like traditional tatami rooms and a home stay feel. It is a 10 minutes walk away from the shirakawago centre so please take the time to enjoy the sceneries while you walk. If you're coming to shirakawago and want to experience a modern plus traditional home stay then please consider here. さらに表示

The place reminded me of a cosy cottage with warm friendly hosts. The rooms were spacious and the toilet was such a delight that I wish our own home toilets were like that. The hosts were very helpful to help us book the bus tickets back to Kyoto. This is ideal for family with kids or even couples. Do check out the place. さらに表示

The stay was great. Place was neat and tidy. The kitchen provided all you need for a warm and pleasant stay. Breakfast was great and provided enough energy in the morning. If you are looking for a place to stay in Shirakawa-go, this is it. Coco (the owner) explained everything really well and gave us plenty of tips for our walk around of the area. The room was comfortable and has a great view of the river. They provide ingredients for breakfast and it is up to you to choose what you want to do with it. We stayed at Shirakawago Terrace on 8 Mar 18. It is a hundred old house that has undergone renovation last year. Thus, we have the best of both worlds; modern amenities in a traditional Minshuku setting. The place is very accessible; it is a mere 10 mins walk from the bus station. If you like a private bathroom, this place certainly doesn’t disappoint. The bathroom is the biggest that we ever had in any of the Japanese hotels. Furthermore, this minshuku is kept really clean and comfortable. We were received by the host Coco San and her assistant Keiko San. They were both very friendly and gave us useful tips on navigating the village. They both speak English fluently. It rained heavily on the day we checked out, and Keiko San voluntarily sent us to the bus station. It was very nice of her, as we were not carrying very heavy luggages. On the whole, I will highly recommend staying at Shirakawago Terrace if anyone intends to stay in the village for the experience. さらに表示

first i was hesitated to stay here because of the location and the age of the house but since i was bringing 2 toddlers i think a hotel should be better than staying at one of the village houses, and turns out i was completely right, the hotel were an old house but the inside is newly renovated and look comfortable, modern and clean, the house staff tomo san were very helpful and concernableto all of our needs, one night when we were going to have dinner it was very dark, raining and snowing so my daughter felt in a water tunnel so she is soaking wet and we got back to the hotel, tomo san helped drive us with car & even dried up my daughter boots and when we were checking out it was raining and we were planning to buy some umbrella but instead she gave us for free, not to forget to mention that the hotel itself is very homy, with self servicebreakfast, full equipped kitchen and the tatami were so comfortoble, it was really a pleasant experience to stay there, thank you again tomo san さらに表示

We love this cosy little house which has been only refurbished this summer. The host Tomo was very kind and helpful and provides very clear explanation on the house rules and information on how we should tour the village. We ordered the dinner from them and it was delicious. The new room is comfortable, but not be soundproofed may hear the room next door. There is a kitchen and breakfast provide. If you want dinner, tell the host. This hostel brought another experience of traveling. The hostel from outside is a veteran, but inside is contemporary. Despite not located within Shirakawago, it is on the main road linking to the famous tourist attractions, within 15 minutes walk. The host offered us to park our car after checking out, so we can enjoy our visit. This is no restaurant nearby, but a convenient store around the corner. The hostel has a common kitchen for the guests to make their own meals: breakfast is provided, but for dinner you better get your own dishes first before arriving the hostel. It's a good place to stay. The hostel staff is very friendly and helpful, she provided us useful information about the attraction places around the heritage village. I felt comfortable to stay at the hostel, although there's no private bathroom in the room. The bathroom is very clean, I totally had no problem with that.
