The price was a bit on the high side given the dated facilities. However, the great service provided by the staff made up for it. Location is not bad, near to Senso-ji Temple and Nakamise Shopping Street. But you may want to note that it is nearer to Tsukuba Express Line Asakusa Station which is nowhere near the Asakusa Station that is commonly used by tourists. Traditional breakfast was good. The public baths are a bit small and dated which some may find it awkward to share with other people. Overall, a good experience in a traditional Japanese inn (the staff gave us each of us a small mobile phone charm with our names engraved - nice gesture!).

Pros: Located right near the Sensoji temple and market. Super market is really close too. Service is remarkable and facilities are really good. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Onsen is amazing after a long day. Take my word and book it, you can't go wrong. Cons: There are two Asakusa stations. One is really close but not well connected. Other is well connected but may be a bit far. 10/10 will go again!

Very cute hotel, close to the temple, but very quiet place, lots of restaurants and shops around, the staffs are very nice and helpful, room is small but nothing needs more. Public bathroom is very comfortable. Will come back definitely.

It was a pleasure staying at the Yado Sadachiyo Ryokan for the final leg of my April Japan trip. The location is excellent (Sensō-ji is a few blocks away), the staff was friendly and helpful (they even had a cute wood carving name tag made for me) and while expensive (kaiseki is always expensive) the food was excellent. There are older more authentic Ryokans in Japan around Kyoto and on some of the more out of the way spots but if you want a taste of traditional Japanese lodging while visiting the temples and Tokyo this is an excellent and fairly priced choice.

The Inn is very intimous and doesn't offer a lot of rooms. It is very small. But it is seems very authentic and the staff treats you in a very personal way. They will know you right from the moment when you check-in. The location is good and very close from all of the attractions of that old style district. It was a nice experience to live in a tatami room for one night. I haven't tried the public baths of the Inn though, so I can't say anything about them. But there seemed to be mostly Japanese guests, which I consider to be an indicator for a good quality and authenticity.

Traditional ryokan with simple, but clean rooms and lovely onsen (bath) facilities. Service was excellent and our one dinner there was delicious. Loved using the bath every day!

So we arrived in Asakusa earlier than scheduled and found this lovely lodging. The staff were welcoming and gracious and moreover kind. I loved the opportunity to stay in a more “traditional” style room with my family. It was an experience that I will forever be grateful.

We picked this place purely to try out the traditional breakfast. We were not disappointed! The facilities and public baths were amazing, at night there are not many people. It get cleaned at 10pm everyday. The rooms were nice and cozy during winter, and had a tea set for us to brew tea that they provided for free along with snacks. At the end of our stay, we were given a cute little lucky charm with our names carved. Highly recommend this place as location is convenient too, with drugs store, convenience store and restaurants nearby.

Nice place to experience the Japanese way of staying! Complete with a public bath, in stone as well as wood. In the heart of Asakusa, and walking distance to the Sensoji temple. The staff was very hospitable and also presented a small gift on our check out.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Located in Asakusa, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Tokyo, short walk to Sensoji temple, Hanayashiki amusement park and lots of small streets and restaurants. The ryokan is beautifully decorated with many antiques, you feel like you go back to the old Japan, and it's very well maintained. The staff are really helpful and polite, and can speak English, if your Japanese is a little rusty. They stored our luggage before check-in time, also gave us some amulets with our names which was a nice touch, and some sweets when we checked out :) The room is fairly spacious, with tatami floors, a table for tea, and a futon bed that the staff takes out from the closet and prepares before the night, and they store it away again in the morning. It's actually quite comfortable! Room also has a bathroom with shower, small bath tub and sink, and a separate room with the Japanese electric toilet seat. There are instructions in English about manners in a ryokan and public baths. Everyday they provide new toiletries and clean yukatas, that you can wear to sleep or to go to the public baths on the 2nd floor. There is a wooden bath and a stone bath, separated by gender, and they rotate them every few hours so both male and female can try both baths every day. They are open all night and most of the daytime (minus a few hours around lunch time for cleaning), so if you go quite late as we did, you can probably enjoy them all for yourself, and have a nice and peaceful hot bath. We tried the traditional Japanese breakfast one of the mornings, comes with a lot of little dishes, and it's very nice and filling. Definitely recommended!

The staff here are extremely friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and the onsen was very nice. Good for solo travellers as well as couples. Asakusa is a great location for a chilled time- plenty of markets, temples, restaurants and metro stations close by.

Located right in the asakusa area. Surrounded by many shops and walking streets. You can feel how traditional japan street is like. Some restaurants open late. Clean hotel and good service. They serve good green tea too.

Pleasant stay though transportation can be quite challenging but do-able. Beautiful breakfasts and in keepers do speak English. Wifi connectivity was good. Only issue was that the Ryokan is situated in an alley that has a pub right opposite and can get a bit noisy (only happened to be one night where a group of drunk men were talking on the streets at 4am - 5am) but overall was a great stay. Will definitely come back.

We stayed there for one night when we came back from Kyoto with four persons. Everything was perfect: Well-located, very clean, friendly staff and we had a really large room which easily could have been used with eight or even ten persons as well.

We took one night in this place - but it would be easy to do more and never want to leave. It's clean, comfortable and spa-like. We had the breakfast and it was delicious and filling. The neighborhood is great and it's very accessible to the other parts of the city. Highly recommended!
