We stayed two nights at Tabiya Hotel and we really liked our stay. There are only eight rooms in the hotel so it is super quiet. Room was small but functional. Everything is really clean and taken good care of. Location is great! One minor con: Breakfast is a bit disappointing. Still, I would recommend it. さらに表示

The best i can say about this place is the location. Close to everything..the station, shopping, food and the Family Mart (24x7) is just 3mins walk away. Cozy bed and toilet is modern. Room is pretty small. With my triplet baggage size, hubby and i could hardly move about but we managed. Love it here and recommended さらに表示

Kyoto is such an expensive city in terms of accommodation, everything is very expensive and very, very small. If you have mobility problems this will not be the hotel for you, however you can see very clearly what you are getting. This is probably the only budget hotel in the busiest area of Kyoto. 5 min walk to Gion corner. For late night shopping, sightseeing and bar hopping, this is the perfect spot. Room is extremely small though. さらに表示

Pros: super near to nishiki, just a few mins walk away. The room is really clean as my skin is sensitive so if no rash means it's clean enough. Shower is great. They offer some light breakfast like yogurt and bread for every person each day. Reception is there all the time. Cons: No lift, means u need to carry your luggage to level 3. Pillows are too low. Make sure to ask for extra (they give a cushion) if you prefer to sleep on higher ones. Room is really really small. Small rooms are common in Japan but this is the smallest room that I have encountered thus far. Overall, if u want good location with pocket friendly price, this is the place. さらに表示

Tabiya Hotel is located at a side street but just 2 minutes walk away from Teramachi shopping area with good access to subway and buses. Gion district is an easy 10/15minutes walk away if you don't get distracted by the shops along the way. Plenty of restaurants and the food market is around the corner too. Tabiya Hotel is set up more like a hostel but not. There is no elevator access (reception/cafe located on 2nd floor and rooms on 3rd).I know that it's a general Japan thing that rooms are not big but I've stayed in a few and this one is pretty 'cosy'. My boyfriend and I had a luggage each and there really isn't much space for both items/or both of us. I like the bathroom with its modern design and basic things like shampoo, razor etc are provided. 'Breakfast' is self serve set up on a mini table on the rooms floor where guest gets a muffin/bun and yogurt. Overall, I am happy and glad that we chose this hotel ! Perfect location, close to everything. We weren't expecting it to be large but the best part were the super comfortable beds. The comforter was very cozy and the bathroom was very modern and clean. We really liked this place さらに表示

The location is very near kawaramachi station, great restaurant and shopping. Great and detail room service. Equipped with all the toiletries needed. Beds and toilet are very clean .everytday. However there's no elevator so we have to carry our luggage on stairs ourselves. さらに表示

It was clean, good location, staffs were very kind however room was very small. No room for bags opened and also there is no elevator. We stayed in a Kaki room however we woke up at 4am because of the crazy noise of the washing machine. I do not recommend to those who expects hotel like, because it is more like hostel. さらに表示

Wife and I had the Sakura room and we barely had room to move around each other. Small seems to be typical of Japanese hotel rooms but this was to an extreme. Would recommend though for the awesome location and hostel feel. さらに表示
