チェックインが遅れるとのことで連絡したところ、当日は宿直の方がいらっしゃるとのことで、24時前にチェックインさせていただきました。遅い時間にもかかわらず大変気持ちよくチェックインしてくださいました。 シャワーやトイレなどの水回りは改装されているのでとても潔感があります。 廊下などの共用スペースや部屋の細部にどこはかとなく手作り感が漂うのですが、建屋のレトロ感と見事に調和されており、ゆったりとした雰囲気を作り出しています。わたしは近所の銭湯を利用しましたが、そちらもレトロ感が満載でかなりおすすめです。スタッフの方がとても親切で美味しいお食事処を紹介してくださったりと、また泊まりたくなること間違いなしの宿でした。ありがとうございました。 さらに表示

値段は安くて◎　スタッフの対応が、チェックインや朝ごはん食べる時に確認するのに時間をとっていて微妙でした。チェックインの時にお金を払ったか２回聞かれたが、そんなに疑うならそちらで確認できないのかと疑問に思った。部屋は綺麗だったが窓の外に他のゲストが吐いた嘔吐があって少し不快に思った。 他のゲストの喋り声などが聞こえるのは仕方ないが、バーで飲んでいた他のゲストが盛り上がりすぎて、叫んでいて注意してほしいと思った。 さらに表示

I booked a room for 3 people but I think it is a bit too uncomfortable for 3 and should be bigger so our 3rd person booked another accommodation. There is just a tiny place to put your luggage. Ok it fits for 2 when you do not open the luggage...so I put a towel under my luggage on the floor (a part is wooden, the other part is tatami) that is forbidden to walk with shoes (of course), eat and put your luggage on. But in that case it worked and everything stayed clean. There is no elevator but I can live with that. The futons are comfortable and the room is very clean. You get new towels everyday. There is a big table where you can eat in the kitchen and almost everything you need to prepare your food. There is even a Couch and a small playing/relaxing zone for children. When it‘s rainy you can borrow an umbrella. The ladies bathroom is definitely cleaned well by the staff but some girls who used the shower didn‘t clean it afterwards...I mean just take your damn hair and throw it away and use some water for cleaning. It‘s done in 5 seconds! There is also a washing mashine and the staff can talk in english. The guest house is close to Kasai Metro station and some food stores also. It was quite a nice place, but I did have a few things that needed to be changed before I would recommend it to others. Firstly the beds were really bad. I have stayed in some others places with futons that were a hundred times better, since these were so used that you were lying in a hole. Secondly the toilets were really small, which meant that my knees were touching the door when I was on the toilet, and it also meant that I couldn't stand upright in front of the toilet. Lastly they never came and cleaned our room, which in itself is ok, but it meant that we had to take your trash out to the big bins a couple of times, which were a bit annoying and something I have never experienced before. さらに表示

Taichi, Kay and his crew were absolutely brilliant. They were unrelenting in building a hostel/B&B in a traditional Japanese manner, but yet caters to the modern day traveller within a very reasonable budget. The rooms, although slightly small, were very comfortable and we slept soundly for each of the two nights there. The wifi was working well and we had no issues with it. The bathrooms, although shared, would put some 5-star hotels to shame. There were carpets all over, the water power and heating was superb, and even amenities like shampoo, shower gel and hairdryers were provided, which I did not expect them to. Even the toilet bowls were lined with a soft carpet-like cushion for users to rest comfortably when answering nature's calls... Never ever have I seen that around in any hotel or B&B! Even for travelers who may hesitate with the language barrier, fret not as English is spoken well thoughout this lodging. If there were any concerns at all, it would be that it is a little far from Kyoto Station. It's about 1.2km or a 15 minute walk, which in Japan's weather, is not demanding at all. There are several convenience stores and local eateries around to complement the safe local neighborhood that the lodging is in anyway. Size of room is small, but is acceptable compare with Japan hotel for 2 person. i bring 3 luggage and just enough places to fit us. Yes Mattress originally came with a smell, but is very common as host explained on others comments. If those really particular on sense, may consider to get other guests house. The bathroom is quite far for upstairs room to there. May prepare a tote beg to bring on all shower care, towel and clothes (there have provided shower, shampoo and hair dryer) Toilet for ladies on upstairs and men is downstairs. I found out Toilet is very dirty during evening times. Subway station, convenient store n bus stop station is nearest, need to take 5min to walk thru. Tai Chi the main host was great and helpful. The bikes were reasonable and made it easy. The Place was clean, Location was great. Great value for the money in my opinion. Tai Chi also had good tips of where to go, how to get there etc… I stayed ten days and loved it.. さらに表示

The receptionist that also the hotel's manager named Taichi is very friendly and helpful. I love this hotel's service so much. Like we're living in a Japanese house. The futons (japanese beds) are so comfy and the rooms are clean. But please silent when yo're staying here because your neighbors can easily hear your voice. さらに表示

Friendly hosts. Good price. That's it. Super thin walls normal in a Japanese house unfortunately foreign visitors not familiar with it are oblivious to making lots of noise. While nothing in any major Japanese city is far from public transport, this guesthouse is "far" from bus or train stations in a comparative sense. I bring my kid to try Japanese budget style accommodation which is not my usual style of travel. TOMIMATUSOU exceeded what I expected a budget style in cleanliness and their staff is very good. For facilities, I give 4 star instead of 5 only because I expected a tea bag.. but after all its ok, worth my money n they should get better rating than 7.5... keep the good work, TAICHI.. さらに表示

This ryokan had comfortable futon and pillow although the room size was small (japan standard),we slept soundly. The bathroom was clean and always smelt good. It was quite far from kyoto station,about 20mins walk but close to kawaramachi bus station (5mins walk). There was a nearby laundry and family mart. さらに表示

Very good and quite location close to every thing in Kyoto, Very friendly stuff clean rooms with real Japanese style feeling, Reasonable price, I had very good time staying 2 nights!! I stayed here beginning of Dec 2015. The location of Tomimatusou is very convenient, maybe a 15 min walk from the main station. The metro station is approx. 5 min walk. The Staff was very kind, helpfull and is eager to answer all the questions. The hotel itself is a japanese style one, so don't expect too much. You'll sleep on Tatami mats and a futon. Stayed here for 1 night. Wouldn't stay here again. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place was quiet hard to find (they really need a bigger sign). There were 4 of us and we slept on Futon beds which were very comfy. The bathrooms were kept clean and the showers were pretty good. The location was ok but not many food places around. さらに表示
