京都の紅葉目当てで立地の良いホテル探してたのですが、どこも閑散時期に比べて超割高だったので国民宿舎琵琶湖ビューに宿泊しました。車で向かう際は、道の駅側からは道が狭く手は入っていくのが困難です。川沿いの道を選択しないと混乱します。明るいうちにチェックインされることをお勧めします。ホテル駐車場は広々ですが、水浴場営業時期は日中だけ有料と書かれてありました。お部屋への飲食物の持ち込みも不可と書かれてありました。私達は赤ちゃん連れの家族なので外食しづらいので、お部屋への飲食持ちこみ不可なら次回は利用しないでしょう。 さらに表示

Need to go out for toilet every time since no private toilet inside. Warm welcome upon arrival. Better to drive there because free parking and near lake. Acceptable prices with basic needs. さらに表示

Lodge Biwa is quite a distance out of Kyoto but right on the edge of Japan's biggest lake. A great place to experience traditional guest house living - tatamis and futons in the simple bedrooms, immaculate onsen bathing facilities (separate men's and women's). The staff were brilliant - cheerful and incredibly helpful. We lost a camera and wallet in Kyoto and Chiaki came with us to the police and helped with the forms. We have now recovered both. さらに表示

We came to Katata at the Lake Biwa for a quiet country side weekend outside the busy cities. The View Lodge Biwa turned out the perfect choice. It offers a genuine introdiction into Japanese culture. So "Japanese style" rooms really means what it says, be ready to adjust to the difference. Katata, although a reatively small town has a rich history and heritage and so it is defitively worth a visit. さらに表示
