平日の宿泊だったので、しずかで落ち着いた雰囲気を楽しめました。 周りを森に囲まれ、鳥のさえずりと川のせせらぎの音を聞きながら入る露天風呂は格別のひと時を味わうことができました。 お料理は地元のものを存分に使った品数の多い繊細で手の込んだものばかりでした。 夜は敷地の中に掛かっている橋から蛍を見ることも出来ました。 すべてに至れり尽くせりで大満足の宿でした。 さらに表示

まず始めに、到着したのが夕方でしたが、駅までの送迎が出来ないと言われました。深夜に着くわけでもなく、それなりの値段を払っているのに残念な印象がついてしまいました。でも着いてからはとても丁寧な対応や食事は値段相応かとおもいます。特別室の貸し切り温泉も広くてのんびりできました。今回は特別室を予約しましたが、居間と寝室が離れになってて、外に出るのが少し面倒でした。 さらに表示

Good service. The day of my arrival is snowing heavily. Hotel staffs know that I am driving. They try to contact me at 5:30 PM just to make sure that I am fine with the heavy snow. A warming gesture. Food is nice. Hotel staffs are very kind. Stay in special villa which offers exclusive usage of private open bath onsen. Very relaxing. There is a in-room wooden bath tub onsen. We have been recommended by a friend to stay in Yufuin Gettouan, and we found we worth spending time here. Breakfast and dinner were prepared based on our preferences, and were really delicious. Free flow tea and coffee in the common room near the public onsen. And of course you can definitely enjoy the onsen in the room at any time you wish. All staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Although we found most of the hotels in Japan are of good service, this one is exceptionally good. The location is on the mountain, which has its good or bad sides. You can enjoy the quite and good scenery while you enjoy the onsen, but at the same time it might take a while for you to locate it if you drive. Bare in mind not all staff speaks perfect English but they will also try their best to explain everything to you. Very good experience. Service is tip top, they even pick you up and drop you at the train station. Overall, there is nothing to complain about except that the food is not the best I've had. For those who want a better experience, it is recommended that you book their Sukiyaki or Shabu Shabu menu instead. You will need to contact the hotel separately. さらに表示

On our checkout day with snow falling and a ground blizzard, the staff after seeing that our car having no snow tires offered all the help we could get... searching for snow chains, having them installed, and calling our next destinations checking for weather and conditions on the road. Excellent : open-air Onsen in the room and public bath, natural environment, very kind staffs (especially who provided very timely & clear e-mail communications before staying -- Ms. Kang, and the waitress for dinner/breakfast), room cleanliness, breakfast, discount for children, amenities, room refrigerator (including free water bottles, canned beers and juices), bed linen, wooden or straw floor, welcome tea & soft persimmon in the room, heating tea-table in the room, free shuttle bus between Yufuin train/bus station and Gettouan ryokan, Yukata clothes & wooden sandals Good : Kaiseki dinner Not so bad but not enough : price performance, shortage of towels (in the public bath for women early in the morning), keys for room & room safety box (not a digital, but a very old type key), room toilet (feels cold in the toilet) さらに表示

The room was huge and clean. It had a private outdoor hot spring bath. On top of that you can reserve a bigger hot spring for the family. About 5 Minsk drive from Yufuin station but the hotel offers shuttle services. Staff knows a bit of English but there was no problem for communication and they offer excellent service. We didn't like the food a lot tho but overall it was a lovely stay there さらに表示

--good-- We booked the most expensive rooms($800) and the staff that personally took care us did a very good job(Irina-san). We booked 3 rooms, the rooms are basically small houses. The photos you see on the webs make it look bigger than the actual thing, but it is still plenty of space. They separate standard booking and more expensive booking, with the latter getting more use of facility and better service. Lots of heating systems in the house. The Ryokan is located slightly up in the mountain, so there is really nothing to walk around. Food was kaiseki type. It was fairly good, not great but it was better than we expected. After 3 days of stay I have a feeling that this place is very good if you book a luxury type plan. The stuff/service that you get from it is very good, but the standard facilities/service feel very normal to not worth. I would return to this place with top luxury reservation, but absolutely not revisit with standard reservation. --bad-- I would have given this place a 5/5, and recommend it to others if not for the disgustingly obnoxious communication before visit. It was one of the worst experience. Contacting them took forever to get a reply, then with reply that dont give you any answer(dont know why some Japan hotels do this). When I made reservations, they had my booking agent called me to ask for our details. I told them I would let them know once our schedule is confirmed, but they did it once again anyway… I found it frustrating that they could demand our details but we could barely get an email reply from them. I can speak Japanese, so I switch to Japanese and got a better result. But even so the replies took days and unclear. I almost cancel the reservation just because of this. I mean contacting them is this bad, how will the actual thing be? After long hard consideration I gave them a try anyway. Eventually things seemed to settled, all questions got answered. I went there with mom. I stayed 2nights. It was almost perfect except couple of things. Staff were awesome. Irina was fantastic and the food was delicious. Hot spring was beautiful. However they were stingy on drinking water. I have been many onsen but this is first ryokan did charge water in the fridge. Also no water in the public bath. After bath people drink water more than usual but they don't offer drinking water. I still don't understand it. Other than that I want to go back again~~~ さらに表示

the staffs seems to be tooooo nervus about our visit; and it's a little pity that there were limited equipment when I lived in the hotel, there were mountain and river, but we can't approach them nor look around then. But it was still really a good hotel for stay. さらに表示

The room in traditional Japanese style is just incredible. It is one of the best hotel that I have ever visited. The onsen is nice as well and the staff are very friendly. Although it is a bit pricy, I still think it is worth going. さらに表示
